.:Thanksgiving:.

This year we got to spend Thanksgiving at my moms house. It really was so nice to get out of the house and be able to get some fresh air. I feel like I have just been in my house for almost the last month. But I have enjoyed being able to be home with Mason. This year I just so grateful for so many things. I look at how far Jackson has come in his almost 6 years. He is doing such amazing things in school. He is starting to read and he is doing so good at it. It just amazes me when Jackson comes home and tells me about playing football and soccer at recess. I honestly didn't know if he would be able to do these things and I feel so blessed that I have been able to watch him do it. I am so grateful for my new little addition. Mason is such a great baby. He is so happy and has been such a wonderful addition to our family. I think that Jackson really needed a brother. He is the best big brother that I know. He is so helpful and is always asking us what he can do to help. I love my family. I am so blessed to be married to the man that I am married too. Barry has been more than helpful. This past year he has done more for me than I could have ever asked for him to do. Latley he has done all the cooking, laundry and dishes. It has been so nice since I am so tired by the end of the day. I just love life and can't imagine it could be any better than this.

.:Family Pics-Week 2:.

We got some family pictures done when Mason was two weeks old. They didn't turn out the best, but at least we got some. We are going to be getting some more done of Mason in a couple more weeks by a sweet girl here in Morgan...Jordyn Brooks. So I will be more excited to see how those ones turn out. Mason is still eating really good. My milk finally came in and he is eating about every 1.5hrs. I am super tired. He is only sleeping for about maybe an hour at a time at night. But hopefully it will get better. I am looking forward to the upcoming holidays so that we can get out of the house. It will be nice to have a change of scenery.

.:Jaundice-Week 1:.

Mason ended up with Jaundice so he had to be on the bililights for a couple of days. His count got up to 18. There is nothing that I hate more than this. Jackson had to do the bilibed too for about a week. So I was so glad that Mason only had to be on the bilibed for two days three nights. He is doing a great job with eating but I just haven't been able to get much milk in yet so I have to do some supplementing. He is growing great. He got down to 5lbs. 12oz when we went home and he was back up to 6lbs after a week. Jackson just loves being a big brother. He was a little nervous cause of his cast. But after we got that off he has wanting to do nothing but give Mason loves. He has been able to spend the night at both grandparents a couple of times and he is loving that and I am loving the help.

.:38 WEEKS--BIRTH DAY NOVEMBER 3, 2011:.
So on Wednesday I went in for my weekly check up and I was so ready to be done. I think that having my infection for the last two months finally caught up with me and I was just exhausted. When I went in my blood pressure was a little high again and I still had the infection in my urine sample. When my midwife did the ultrasound it showed that the baby still hadn't grown at all. She was a little concerned at this point since it had been about two weeks of no growth. So she told me that she thought it would be the best of she sent me over to the hospital and got me started. I wasn't too sure about going in that day cause I wanted to get things all set up for Jackson, so I asked her if I could do it the next day. She was fine with that and got me scheduled for the next morning at 7:00am. So I was so excited that I was going to be done and that I was going to meet my new little angel. I went home that night and we got Jack all ready to go stay at his grandmas house. I had one last night of uninteruppted sleep(although I didn't sleep hardly at all). The next morning we were off to the hospital bright and early. We got there at 7 and it took them until about 9 before the got the pitocin started. It was kind of a long day casuse I just wasn't really dialating as fast as they thought I would. We would later find out that it was cause of the position of the baby...he was face up. But I didn't mind. I was enjoying just being there and relaxing. At around 7:00pm I was ready to push. We had the opportunity to ask Barry's sister Shannon to stay in the room with us to record the birth and to take pictures. I pushed for about 10mins--which seemed like a long time. He would have probably came out in one push if he wasn't face up, so it made it a lot harder to push him out. But when he was finally here it was a wave of emotion. He came out looking so beautiful and coneheaded(haha). He was a lot bigger then they expected. He was 6lbs 2oz and 18inches long. Which they thought he would only be about 5lbs 7oz. I was so relieved to have my little angel here and healthy. He came out and was so aware he had no problems with eating...he latched right on. He was awake for about 3hrs after he was born. It was so nice cause we got to keep him in our room for about 5hrs after he was born and just enjoy him. I loved Ogden Regional...I would never want to deliver anywhere else.

.:36 WEEKS:.

.:36 WEEKS:.--Looking like a pumpkin...hahaha

So I went to my midwife today to see how things were going. As far as my infection it looks like everything is all cleared up for now. My blood pressure was great. She did the swab for Group B Strep, although since I was positive with Jackson then they will do the antibiotic anyways. And she checked me. She said that I was definitely softening, I was dilated to 2cm and I was 70% effaced. She also said that it definitely feels like I have dropped. If I haven't had the baby by 39weeks then she will induce me, which would be on Nov. 10th. But I have a pretty good feeling that I will go before then. She did an ultrasound and the baby is measuring a little small. She was a little concerned. So if he doesn't gain enough by my next appt. next week then she will have to induce me then. So I could be having this baby anytime now. I am starting to get a little anxious. I am so excited to have this baby here, but it is going to be so different for it not to just be Barry, me, and Jackson. Maybe I am a little worried about giving Jackson all of the attention that he should be getting...I am not quiet sure why this seems like such a big transition. But at least I am ready for this lil angel to come into our family. I am really hoping that he can hold off coming until after Halloween. I just really want to be able to spend this Halloween with Jackson since it will be our last one with just him. I have definately having a lot more contractions. It is now 1:18am and I can't sleep cause I am contracting quiet often. The baby was measuring at about 5lb. 2oz today. So he defiantly needs to get a little bigger. We will just keep praying that he can stay in there as long as he needs to, but we are ready for him to be here if he is ready to come. Like I said I have another appt. next week. So we will see how things are then:)

.:Jackson's Broken Arm:.

So on Thursday last week I got a call from the school that Jack had an accident and got pushed down at recess and he wont stop crying. At first they thought that he was still crying cause his feelings were hurt from being pushed. Which I thought was pretty weird cause Jack never gets his feelings hurt too bad and for too long. So I went to the school and picked him up. It was so sad to see him sitting in the nurses office and he just had big alligator tears in his eyes. So I asked him if he just wanted to come home and of course he said "yes". So we got home and he was still crying. He just kept telling me that his arm hurt. I was a little torn and couldn't decide if we should take him to the doctor or not. The nurse at the school had checked his wrist and told me that it looked fine, but yet he said it was still hurting. I felt his arm and it was swollen and it would hurt him if I just barely touched it. To make a long story short I finally went over to Barry's moms and she felt it and said that she thought that she felt a bump. So I decided to take him down to the doctor. When we got there they took an x-ray...and sure enough it was broken. He had broken both bones, the ulna and the radius. The were not a big enough break that they had to set his arm, but they did put a cast on that goes up to his shoulder. Jack was super brave. He was really nervous to do all he things that he had to do at the doctor that day, but he did everything and hardly cried at all even though you could tell it was really hurting. When I finally got the whole story from Jack what happened at recess he told me that he was playing football and that he went to get the ball off the grass and then he got pushed down by another kid who didn't want him to have the ball. I have to admit that I was angry. It made me super sad to think that he got pushed down, but I am sure that it was just kids being kids. Anyways....Jack should have his cast on for about 4 weeks. So that should be just in time for his lil brother to get here:) He is adjusting great to having to use his left hand. Hopefully everything will heal good and he will be able to get back to writing and coloring great with his right hand.

.:KINDERGARTEN:.

AUGUST 30, 2011

Jackson was so super excited to go to school. His teacher is Mrs. Dicou. She is amazing. She has been so great to reassure me that Jackson will be well watched over and taken care of. I had some worries about Jackson going to school with his stability and with him being in a class of new kids that didn't know him. But I actually got to go into his class and talk about him. The kids were so incredibly sweet. They all were so excited to learn about Jack. I have been surprised at how well Jackson is handling all day kindergarten. I really did think that he would be so tired every morning and not want to get up for school, but he is the one that wakes me up every morning and he always has his backpack on 20mins. before the bus gets here!!!! Right now they are just reviewing all of their letters and going over their colors. He is doing great with this. He already knew his colors and letters but it is a good review. I will try to stay updated on how he is doing. As for now I am amazed at how well he is doing. I truly know that Heavenly Father has a strong hand in Jackson's life. He has a special mission for Jackson and I know that he is by his side helping him accomplish all that he does.
