Christmas Card 2012

Merry Christmas Y'all!

Cookies for Santa

Claire and I made cookies this year for Santa. She loves doing the whole baking thing, and it was a treat to see how excited she was with the finished product. WE cheated a little and bought a package for cookie dough, and will NEVER do that again, since I am very biased and think my sugar cookie recipe is the best-- hands down! haha Next year!

And the cookies had to be pink. We are talking about my girly-girl. Red-schmed!

Christmas Festivities

We had a nice quiet Christmas Morning, opening presents, making caramel crescent swirls, and watching the Disney Christmas parade.

For the evening, we went to Grandpa Spillers' home, had pot roast, and the three little girls enjoyed their new toys. It was what Christmas was all about: family.

Let's Build a snowman

It snowed a lot right before Christmas, which was kind of nice since we're moving to a place with no snow. Since I was at work all day, Jeff took the girls outside to build a snowman after the first snow. He got all these great pictures, but alas, there was no memory card in the camera. haha So we will have to do with the finished product:

To get them excited, Jeff let them build their own snowman online. They had so much fun and were pumped to do the real thing by the time they were done. It was a great idea!

Breakfast with Santa

We took the girls to the Boys and Girls Club to have breakfast with Santa. For $5 per family, we had a hot breakfast, a free session and photo with the Man in Red, and coloring and kid-friendly fun. For $5, it was worth it, and we got what we paid for. I guess I can't complain that Santa did not have a white-as-snow beard , and he didn't live up to his "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" nickname. haha! It was a fun time anyway, and the cousins all played together and we got a picture out of it that you would pay $20 for at the mall.

They are STILL not a big fan of the Man in Red. But I Don't blame them, since this guy was just not right for the part. haha!

our girls....

like to blow-dry their hair (on the cold setting)....

and sleep with their blanket over their face....

 silly geese!

Gingerbread houses with Grandma

This year, all three girls had fun decorating with Grandma, and their houses all came out great! Scarlett and Cadence just decorated graham crackers, and Claire helped with the big house. They had a lot of fun, partly due to the insane amount of sugar in their systems...

afterwards, Grandma read to the girls... Such a sweet photo!
