Sunday

I love Sunday's - as crazy as they are, I love them! The boys always look so cute dressed up, and we enjoy being together and resting as a family.

This Sunday after church we came home and the big boys played outside while I fixed lunch.  Sam fell asleep waiting on us, and had a good little cat nap while we ate.

The boys love being outside just like Cameron and I do, and we are so thankful!

Sam woke up in time to come outside with us for a little while before naps.

"Wilson" (aka Uncle Lane) peeked at us over the fence to see what all the ruckus was about.

After lunch, we all got to take a nap before heading back up to the church, then out to eat with friends.

New Park Playdate

There is a new park just outside of town, so we decided to hit it up on Friday for a lunch/playdate with some old school friends. It was so great! It is an incredible park and we will definitely have to go there again!

Lovin' life

Sam got to try out the shoppin' cart cover this week and sit up front like a big boy! He had a blast!

The boys were wearing their cow "masks".  Will wanted to hang his on his bedroom wall.

My boys LOVE their daddy! I love it when they cuddle together - such manly love!

On Thursday's after sewing a group of us usually go out to eat.  We've been doing this for about 3-3.5 years! When we started we each just had one baby.  It's not quite that simple anymore.  This week there were 4 moms and 11 kids - 4 and under!

Will is such a good big brother.

Will is also a silly boy and likes to wear his goggles randomly. You can't see it, but he also is wearing his canteen.  He got it from my aunt for Christmas and he LOVES it!

Fun times around here and I am lovin' every minute!

Surprise visitors

Will and Luke ask for Uncle Lane and Aunt Randa all the time.  One morning last week at breakfast, Luke said, "momma, I want see Aunt Randa." Then later that evening he was pretending to talk to Uncle Lane on the phone. So I videoed it and sent it to Lane and they decided to make a surprise visit before bedtime.  All three of the boys were thrilled!

Sam didn't know quite what to think about Uncle Lane's beard.

Luke went and got his boots so he could be just like Uncle Lane.

We are so fortunate to have Uncle Lane and Aunt Randa live next door! The boys adore them and I think they are pretty great too! :)

Sam - just because

Sam is doing much better about sitting up and playing by himself.  He still loves getting attention and is definitely most happy when someone else is playing with him, but he is getting better!

He is also sportin' some rollie knees! I love the little fat rolls! The only time fat rolls are cute are when they are on a baby - and boy are they cute on Sam!

He also started drinking from (aka chewing on) and water sippy this week.  He thinks he's big time now!

He does love his mommy!

And he LOVES to jump in his jumper!

He is giving the best sugars right now! He's got a death grip on his daddy's cheek!

Everywhere he goes ... he's running

Will LOVES to run! I honestly think it is his favorite thing! He loves to just go in the back yard and run laps, and he's actually really good at it.  For 4 years old, he's got pretty good form and some definite endurance. After Luke was born, and I started running again, there were a lot of days that I would run Will to school.  The bigger they got, that was harder to do.  I haven't been able to do that since Sam was born because I just have a double stroller and not a triple.  It's a mile to school and I didn't know if Will could run it.

But on Tuesday, I suggested we run to school and Will was all on board! I didn't realize it was quite as chilly as it was, but they didn't seem to mind.  I bundled up Sam and put a coat on Luke, but Will didn't want one.  We took off running and he ran the entire way - the whole mile - in 10 minutes!

I was so proud of him! And he was pretty proud of himself! He kept telling people we saw in the hall at school that he ran a 10 minute mile! And he wanted me to send a picture to his daddy and be sure and tell him he ran the whole way! I think we might have a runner on our hands! Watch out Forrest Gump!

Fun Weekend

We had a great laid back weekend this weekend.  We started Friday off with some friends coming over to play outside.  The big boys had a blast! It has been so rainy and cold, they haven't gotten out much lately. So, we definitely took advantage of the sunshine on Friday! Friday night we went out to eat with some friends and let's just say, we weren't the quietest table in the place! With 7 kids 4 and under, it was quite the par-tay!  We had a blast and are so thankful for friendships!

I stayed up a little too late Friday night sewing, so after I nursed Sam Saturday morning, Cameron let me go back to sleep and he took the boys to the gun show in town.  However it was more than packed, so they went to Academy instead.  I got up when they came home and we just hung out the rest of the afternoon, running errands, playing outside, and cleaning the garage.  The big boys are getting so good about playing together without Cameron and I being there, and most of the time they play so well together! Sam is getting a little better about entertaining himself, but he still needs lots of attention.

Sam also decided that he wanted to (finally) start sitting up this weekend.  He is still a little unsteady, but he is doing so good! He didn't want to worry this momma any more!

He also showed me that he does self-soothe by sucking on his arm.  He has given himself a hickey on his left forearm.

Saturday night we gave Sam his second haircut! We just trimmed up the hair on the top of his head a little, so it didn't look so much like a bad toupee.

After baths on Saturday night, we set up a projector in the boys room and watched a movie projected onto their closet doors.  I set up a concession stand outside their room and they had to pay me in sugars! I think we all had a blast at our movie night! We can't wait to do it again!

After church on Sunday, we had a quick little photo shoot and played outside until we had to be at a birthday party.  At the birthday party, the big two played outside pretty much the entire time.  Needless to say, they went to bed great last night!

I love weekends when we get to spend so much time together as a family!
