Happy Birthday Jesus!

Christmas in the Sutton household was a little different this year. It was such a blessing to celebrate our Savior's birth with our sweet little Isabel Grace! It is hard to imagine that Jesus was a sweet little baby just like Isabel. How grateful I am that he humbled himself to come to this earth as a baby to save us from our sins!

We celebrated with lots of family, food, and fun. Unfortunately, Colin had to have some dental work just before Christmas and was not able to eat the good food. I felt so bad for him but he has been so sweet and did not complain once as he ate his chicken noodle soup while we were filling up on yummy Christmas food.

Here are a few pictures from our Christmas fun:

Daddy bought me a bulldawg book - I can't wait to go to a game!

Despite all the fun goodies, I carried around my diaper cream all morning

Choo Choo...

We had an impromptu shopping day with Mia, Aunt Heather, and Aunt Ansley and the highlight was riding the train in the mall with Mia...

Happy 80th!

On December 20, we had a party celebrating Mama's 80 years! It was a sweet time to celebrate with friends and family.

An Atlanta Tradition...

Colin and I both grew up in Atlanta (actually the suburbs, but Katie Mae would call it Atlanta) and when we were little, we each went with our families to ride the Pink Pig at Christmas and we wanted to start this same tradition with Isabel. Some would say that it is silly to wait 2 hours in line for an 8 month old to ride, but it will be a sweet memory and was worth it.

Isabel holding her ticket (just long enough to get a picture before she tried to eat it)

It's a little blurry, but I love this picture. It doesn't get much sweeter than that.

You can see the original Pink Pig in the background. It was way cooler back in the day because it was a hanging monorail and was on the rooftop of Rich's instead of a mini-train in a tent on the top level of the parking deck but we enjoyed the ride anyway!

Stand Up, Stand Up...

The other night, Isabel pulled herself up on one of her favorite toys! She's only done it that one time so far, but she's been practicing and I know she'll be cruising before we know it...

Gettin' into mischief...

Well, not really but she is always getting into something. She has recently discovered her toy basket...

Winnie the Pooh

Isabel had not shown much interest for stuffed animals...until Pooh came along. Mia got Isabel a little Winnie the Pooh and she loves it! The night we got it, she was crawling around with his nose in her mouth like a puppy would carry a toy. I tried to get a picture but couldn't get a good one but here is one with her new buddy.

Pucker Face

One day when Isabel was eating applesauce (the unsweetened kind), she squinted her eyes and puckered her lips because it was tart and of course I cracked up so she kept on doing it and does it ALL the time now.

This is us trying to get a picture of it (notice the ornament in the background - her first homemade picture ornament from the sweet ladies at CBS):

And here is a video:

8 Months!

Wow! It is amazing to me how quickly 8 months can pass. Isabel is officially 8 months old! Here are a few of the pictures to give you an idea what it is like trying to get an active 8 month old to sit still for a picture:

In all the chaos, I did manage to get a good one. Happy 8 month birthday sweet Isabel Grace!

Ready for a jog...

Isabel was so cute this morning all dressed up and strapped in her stoller for a run!

7 Months!

We're doing monthly pictures now instead of weekly so here is our little Isabel Grace at 7 months old! It is a lot harder to get her to sit still to get a picture now that she's so mobile!

On the Move!

Isabel has been working hard learning to crawl for some time now but I'd say that she is now officially crawling... Of course she's crawling to get to my magazines to eat them but it's probably appropriate since this is the dawn of a whole new era in our life with little Isabel! :)

Fall Festival - Rain or Shine!

Despite the rain, we took our little goldfish to the Fall Festival at Hebron...

Colin and I had signed up to help with the pony rides and thought that they surely would not be doing pony rides in the rain... we were wrong. They did and Isabel had a blast hanging with Aunt Heather while we were shuffling kids around the pony rides! Aunt Heather also got a chance to learn to change a diaper in a public bathroom which is always an adventure! Thank you Aunt Heather!
Thanks to Addison Tingle who loaned us this precious costume!!
I brought a backup outfit in case she "flipped out" in the fish outfit but thankfully we did not need to use it. She was so cute in her bunny outfit that I had to post a picture!

The Sweetest Little Thing

Ok...I'm a little late starting this but better late than never, right? I said I would not be a blogger but I have since decided that this is the best way to document our family and our latest, most exciting addition Isabel Grace so here goes. I'm not much of a writer so I'll mostly be posting pictures to tell the story of our lives!

Isabel Grace entered our lives April of this year and our lives have not been the same since. We are humbled that God has blessed us with such a precious, sweet baby girl! I wish that I could capture her laugh and post it, but there's no substitute for experiencing her in person. As I sit here typing, she is chewing on her favorite teething toy and "talking" to me and I still can't believe that this angel belongs to Colin and me!
