New Years Eve
We typically celebrate the new year by going to bed at 10:00 PM. This year we wanted to celebrate a little more traditionally, so we had friends over and instead did the "countdown" a little early (9:15 PM according to the clock in the pics :) ). It was a lot of fun, and the kids threw confetti for about 15 minutes. It was fun to make a little "snowstorm" inside, since we didn't have any of the real stuff outside.
Happy New Year!
Just us
It isn't often that a big event or holiday passes and we spend it just us. But that is how Christmas went this year. It felt a little weird, but was also nice in some ways. And even though it was just us, I still made a nice dinner, so that helped it feel special and cozy...and yummy :).
Although we had a small cast, tradition mandated that we act out the nativity story anyway. It was cute!
