Blogging Blahs

I love checking my Blog and reading all the "comments"! I LOVE IT! I feel connected in my isolation of day to day life-same ole this and same ole that! BUT I'm finding it hard to think of blogworthy material in my same ole this and same ole that LIFE! PLUS---my fun awesome Canon digital camera has the "LOW BATTERY" notice on---And sadly I must wait til next week to get more expensive lithium batteries (not in the budget! LOL) SO--for all those interested here is a synopsis of the Waters' Household week...

Dave--Busy at work--serving warrants, interviewing suspects, GOING TO LUNCH with his co-workers! (El Fenix, Joe Willys, Chinese, etc!)LOL also being a CALMING FORCE in our sometimes contentious*bickering*sibling rivalry* stressed out yelling mother* home!

Debbie--Dishes, Laundry, budget grocery shopping!, Working at Mother's Day Out TOO MUCH -- I not only work the Tuesday and Wednesday but also work for the Methodist Church for other childcare needs--Right now they are practicing for a Summer Musical called..."Seusical"--I signed up for the EXTRA hours and now I am lamenting that decision-- It's SO MUCH to care for my 3 children-meeting their needs--meeting my own needs---trying to meet my husband's needs, serving in my own church and working in another church plus all the dishes/laundry stuff I mentioned above! OH and I forgot my lunch menu.... PB&J sandwich, Hard boiled eggs, RAMEN NOODLES etc..!!! (I've teased Dave all week about his eating at my favorite places without me!) ANYHOW--

Jordan, Josh, & Jillian--my sweet kiddos are a bit BORED this summer! BUT they do have fun jumping on the Trampoline with the water hose, Watching the BOOMERANG channel which has all the old cartoons that I used to watch as a kid--Josh likes "The Jetsons" and Jor likes or I should say LOVES "The Flinestones" and Jillian likes "The Pink Panther"
WELL I WARNED YOU THIS WAS A BORING BLAH BLAH BLOG! Hopefully I'll get my camera back in use with fresh batteries soon and our blog will be more interesting! LOL
For Jor Jor...

For Jilly girl...

For Joshers... (couldn't find The Jetson's but he loves this too!)

Thumbs Down & Thumbs Up!

The Waters' GIRLS went to see the highly acclaimed... Critics gave it an A+... movie Ratatouille!Well--The glitter graphic above shows all the funny parts of the new Pixar movie. We were disappointed. IT wasn't AWFUL but just not as good as other Pixar films like--Cars, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Monsters Inc., and even A Bug's Life. I would rate this one LAST of all the Pixar movies! Even little Jilly didn't like it! It didn't keep her attention at all-
ON THE OTHER HAND...A BIG THUMBS UP FOR...

"Transformers"
The Waters' BOYS saw this and LOVED IT! A BIG THUMBS UP FROM THEM! Dave said it was probably the BEST special effects in a movie he's EVER SEEN--so I guess The Water's Girls picked the wrong movie---

Playing with the Ducks!

myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics
Today we went to the "Lakes of Springfield" to try out Josh's remote control boat! Because of all the rain... The water was so high that the pathway leading to the Lake was flooded!...We trudged through mid calf water with tadpoles swimming everywhere to make it to the water's edge! The sidewalk was so slippery and slimy and I was scared there was going to be snakes! When we arrived to the shoreline--finally some dryland (lol)---We were greeted by friendly ducks. Jillian was the most excited and wanted to pick them up! We fed them saltine cracker bits while Dave and Joshers launched the BOAT! It was so fun--- The Boys were trying to scare the ducks with the boat while us girls were trying to feed them. There was a mother duck with about 9 little ducklings that Dave kept terrorizing! We had a great Saturday afternoon---Thanks Uncle Charley and Aunt Susan for the awesome remote control boat! Josh LOVES it!!! (SO does Dave!)

Our ANNUAL VISIT!!!

OH the anticipation---OH the WAITING!!!
Here are the kids waiting at the "hot" table for Aunt Aner and Baby Luke!

We visit Baby Luke EVERYDAY but via the blog... Yesterday we got to see him in PERSON! We needed to rendezvous to get some much needed stuff that had been piling up at Aunt Aner's house---like Christmas present and baptismal gift and most importantly some awesome scrapbook stuff from PENNY! (thank you I so love my basic grey packs!) etc... We were all so jazzed to meet half way in McKinney at the Starbucks at 380 and 75! This was the 2nd time the kids have EVER seen Luke "Live"! When I informed the kids that we were going to meet Aunt Aner and Luke---Josh immediately conceded---"oh ok! so there will still be RULES about Luke right?!" I had to chuckle--see the kids waited til Luke was 13 months old before they got to see him---and when they did they had to stay 10 feet away at all times. Also they were not allowed to touch Aunt Aner---they had to stay 3 feet away from her! When we said our goodbyes---we all did "airhugs" together!! It was actually very comical! LOL So, we had such a fun time standing outside of Luke's car window getting aquainted and giving him BIG SMILES! He however was a bit shy and didn't quite know what to do with all of our attention! Even though we had a short 15 minutes together in the Starbucks parking lot... Our time was really JOYOUS and much needed on my part! I miss my best friend and I grieve that I can't love on and squeeze Luke's chubby leggies and just bond with him all the time! SO--- we had a wonderful visit that will get me through til the next "annual visit"!! Enjoy the pics below!
Sweet baby boy--feeling a little overloaded as Jordan, Josh and Jilly & I all say Hi!

Aunt Aner and the kiddos!

Aner (trying to smile after her IBS attack!) and Me!

IT'S the talented photographer!

PS--you may have read Andrea's Blog entry titled "Normal Baby"-- My Joshua asked Andrea..."SO, is Luke a Normal baby now?" I didn't know he asked her until Jordan "tattled" to me in the car on the drive home--Jordan said she was so embarrassed that Josh asked that-- BUT I know He only was asking because he desperately hopes that we can all see each other 'regularly'---He thought that since the "ten feet rule" had changed to stand next to the car window--that maybe the long quarantine had ended. SO--I ask everyone to PRAY for Luke and for all of us who love Luke to be able to endure our separation--- There will be a day when these worries will be gone!

I LOVE Independance Day!!!

below: US Airforce Recruits lining the baseball diamond

Jillian riding on Daddy!

All my life I have enjoyed celebrating July 4TH!! As a child there was always parades and fireworks and BBQ grilling! Dave and I have tried to give our children the same patriotic experiences. The past 7 years our July 4TH's haven't been a "complete" family affair as Dave was ALWAYS required to WORK---(lot's of Police calls on the 4TH LOL) Now that Dave is a Detective...He has holidays off (just like banker's hours) with the exception if something BIG were to happen then he'd be called in!! With that said...The Waters' Family had a very AMERICAN Independance Day Celebration...
We went to see the Texas Rangers vs LA Angels play!! We WON!!! 4-3 great game!
We ate cotton candy and Lemon Ice and icees and soda!!! (big smile) Lot's of Patriotic Music. Emotional pride provoking slideshows with all the National Monuments and beautiful pictures of America up on the Big Screen on the scoreboard! Before the National Anthem was sung---about 200 airforce recruits lined the baseball diamond. They were offically sworn into the Airforce right then. It was a great experience! After we sang the National Anthem.... A B-52 flew over the Stadium!!! At one point... the 7th inning...All the current and former military personnel were asked to stand!!! It was so neat as Dave (former Marine) and all the other men and women stood and everyone cheered and clapped! We ended the night watching a Wonderful Fireworks display that was synchronized to patriotic music---most people sang along to the music too... it was just a great night of feeling that "oneness" in pride and gratitude with fellow americans!! Did I mention how much I love our country and the freedoms we enjoy here! I love feeling that FEELING OF PATRIOTISM!! Many times it "chokes me up"---that feeling--Love American History and all the great founding fathers.
We had a Great FOURTH!!
