Hi there-- it's been a good day except for the fighting children this afternoon. I went into the front yard to video all three kids "hula hooping" but it became a fiasco as Jillian had a meltdown because Josh tried to help her-- Jordan was sassing-- So... for your viewing pleasure-- only Josh made the Hula Hoop Leap day CUT! :)

Can I just say- I so love watching American Idol as a family! It's so much fun to be the judges! :)

It's been lackadaisical this weekend. This morning we played "CandyLand" and watched "Little Bear". This afternoon I got bored so I walked around videoing what everyone was up to. Dave and I have the stuffy head achy can't breathe symptoms--add sore throat to Dave's symptoms. We've been takin' it easy. Well, Enjoy the "weekend video"...

Jillian was so excited to meet her preschool friend for a playdate at Chic-Fil-A! We arrived about 10 minutes early so Jillian just went in to the play area so we could wait for Brett!

I am so elated-- and so proud of Dave for fixing our dryer and our leaky bathtub faucet! There are so many things to "fix" around here it's not funny!! We are going to prep the outside of the house for painting next Saturday! THEN soon... We will put new laminate floors in our kitchen, living room and hallway! I can't wait!

It's my 1st day OFF all week-- Dishes are piled, laundry is piled both clean and dirty and Dave complains he sick of IT-- Well I went to take the dry clothes out of the dryer and they are WET-- Push restart and the dang dryer won't rotate and is making a strange humming noise. SO, I took out the clean stuff and layed it all around the kitchen chairs and table-- I did the dishes and wiped the counters and took a shower-- Now I have to go take a CPR class and my housework Still waits-- I guess I may have to go to the Laundrymat-- I'm tired. Sure wish I was a stay home all the time Mom with only the house and my family to tend. The lady in the above picture sure makes it all look easy. Be back tonite after CPR, pick up kids, Jordan's Choir, Laundrymat, Dinner, Church meeting, baths for kids, homework, and whatever else comes up-- OH IT's Trash day-- ughghh LOL

So, I've been blog stalking all weekend! I click on a friend's "friend" and then the friend's "friend's friend"!-and so on and so on! I am really amazed at how many awesome talented wonderful bloggers there are out there. AND they are so eloquent and poignant-- All I do is post pics of the events in my life! LOL I didn't realize you can actually win "awards" for your insightful blogging! Well, it kindof made me feel intimidated-- I do have thoughts that I could blog but I don't think they are as neat as the cute pics of my kids are! LOL

I had my first "comment" on my blog from someone I didn't know-- I guess we affectionately call that a "blog stalker"! They left a sweet encouraging complimentary note to me that really made my day and made me feel good. BUT it also got me to wondering...????
WHO all looks at my blog and what brings them to it???

WELL, It must be Science Fair Project "time of the Year" because...
California, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey etc are all looking for...
AND they find the blog entry detailing Jordan's...
Just thought it was interesting! I also get lots of traffic from my popular bff "Andrea"!
So, as if I needed another thing to occupy my time and thoughts

Thanks for all the Guestbook LOVE! It makes me smile to watch everybody as they slideshow by on my Guestbook! :) SO, if you haven't added yourself... please do so-- That would make me smile even more!! LOL

Dave and I just returned from Heber, Utah... -5 degrees back to TX 83 degrees! It was a premier trip of a lifetime filled with rich friendship, amazing adrenaline, and lots of R & R! It was perfect in every way! I so want this memory to be vivid in my mind for years to come so this is fair warning of a lengthy detailed blog entry! :)
After dropping my kids to their various babysitters- We headed out to our dear friends...
so that we could carpool together in a big van to the airport! We were giddy excited and started off the trip by eating some good BBQ in the airport! (food was an important part of our enjoyment on this trip!) We all watched a movie on a portable DVD player during our flight to Salt Lake City. Dave and I watched "300" and Dave kept yelling "SPARTANS" in a funny accent for the entire trip! LOL It was a beautiful scene of breathtaking snowcapped mountains as we arrived at our destination! Our first little hiccup was that the rental car agency did not have the "Suburban" we had reserved-- they offered us an Escalade or MiniVan-- We reluctantly chose the Escalade...



OH and can't forget that the valet guy was laughing at us as we had to unload luggage in order to unload ourselves! While we waited for our reservation time-- Tish was able to fanagle a deal with another rental car agency and get us a real Suburban!! So, our first crisis was solved!!
Our next task before we nestled into our cabin up in the foothills of the Uinta Mountains was grocery shopping! That was fun-- Jeff and I got into a snowball war in the parking lot! We just bought TONS of JUNK FOOD...
CABIN FUN
Our first night we had a blast and acted like kids-- Tish and Jeff had played jokes on all of us by putting gag gifts in our luggage-- You'll have to ask me personally what they were as I can't blog about them! LOL We watched a dumb but scary movie called "Penny Dreadful" and played around! ALSO- Dave and I were told that for "initiation" we had to go out into the snow an make a butt print with a bare butt! Sorry no pictures of THAT!! (And I was barefoot! It was freezing!)

Dave took it upon himself to be the "maintenance man" of the snowmobiles. He woke up bright and early to go out and fill them with gas and oil each day! He was like a child at Christmas!
