Emotional Day

Today has been a whirlwind of emotions in the Webb household, and by that I mean a LOT of crying. My day started listening to Dallin scream his head off as I left to go visiting teaching. After I got back, the rest of the morning was pretty calm. We played with Eva and Mae while Kelly went out to lunch. Not much crying from them (oh, except when Kelly was trying to get Eva to leave. I'm just glad she loves my house so much that she screams bloody murder when it's time to go).

Then on to the orthodontist with Whitney. Yes, Whitney got braces today. She pretty much hates me for "making me get braces", as she puts it. She endured it pretty well in the office but as soon as we started for the car, she asked for permission to cry. Permission was granted. The tears did not stop for several hours. They'll probably continue tomorrow.

*By the way, I brought my camera to the orthodontist thinking of doing some fun "before and after" photos. Whitney was not having that. Hence, no photos with this post.*

To end my day, I watched "Marley and Me" which I checked out from the library. Four words: Bawled Like A Baby!! I am not an animal lover by any means, and definitely not a dog person, but I was literally sobbing in my seat. I think some other emotions were tied into that cry. Since I don't cry very often, I got it all out at once.

Eyes now puffy, nose running, exhausted. I'm heading off to bed!

Salt Lake Vacation

We spent a week in Salt Lake crammed full of fun activities. I'm going to attempt to add a slide show because I can't decide which pictures to post. WARNING there are a lot of pictures so only view if you're really interested in what we did! (Sorry Liz, I didn't have any good pictures of your kids to show. I'll be ready with my camera in August!)

The highlight for me personally was going to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House as a family. Sitting in a sealing room with my husband and children was such a special moment for me. I love them all so much and want to be with them forever. I am so thankful for temples on the earth to provide us with that blessing. The new title picture of our family was taken in the reception room outside of the temple. If you are in Salt Lake before August 1st, you need to go! It is a beautiful temple and a beautiful experience to go through with your family.

The highlight for my kids was playing with cousins and going to Lagoon for 2 days. Now, I admit to being a Disneyland snob, and have never found Lagoon to even compare. BUT I must admit that it was a LOT of fun this time. Is it because our kids were older, no diapers to change, no babies to feed? Yes, yes, and yes. All in all, a very fun, exhausting trip!
