We have a Kindergartener!

Sadie had her first day of kinder yesterday!  She was excited, not an ounce of nerves, except a tiny bit when she walked into the class and sat down.  But, it didn't last long!  All day I kept thinking, I wonder what she's doing.  I wasn't really sad, more excited and curious for her.  She has just embarked on a whole new journey!  I LOVE watching her learn new things!  Watching her in tumbling every week and get something new is a thrill for me.  I know the same will be true for reading, math, everything.  I'm also excited for her to meet new friends!  She is a social butterfly so I know she can't wait for real friendships to blossom!

When I picked her up from school, she hopped in the car and went straight into how wonderful her day was!  She asked me, before we even left the parking lot, if she got to come back the next day.  As soon as I told her yes, Sadie shouts out, "YESSSSS!"  Last night, she had a harder time falling asleep and woke up bright and early this morning!  I think she was more excited today because she knew what to expect!!  Dropping her off this morning, NO nerves at all!!

Talking about her day over some cake and milk after the AWESOME first day she had!!

Our Summer in Pictures

Our Summer in Pictures:
LOTS and LOTS of swimming!  We started the summer with Sadie knowing how to swim, but not be strong enough to swim where she couldn't touch.  And Tripp only sitting by the edge of the pool!  Ended the summer with Sadie being able to swim in the deep end and Tripp swimming with his puddle jumper all over the pool and even doing cannonballs into the water!

We drove to Hilton Head, SC and on the way stopped in Jackson, MS for a little baseball!
We also stopped by the Duck Commander!! (Of course)
Tripp on the patio at our Hilton Head hotel!
The big Welcome dinner!  It was a blast!

Sadie doing some dancing and singing at the dinner!
Sitting at the Harbor waiting for our yummy dinner and fireworks!

We've been visiting a pretty awesome church in Rockwall.  This summer they had a Fine Arts Camp, which was right up Sadie's alley!

Sadie got her ears pierced!!!  She was so brave!

Sadie went to stay and Mimi and Chichers for a few days so that meant Tripp and Mommy got to have some quality time.  We went to a movie one day and another day Mommy, Daddy, and Tripp had dinner and played putt putt and games.  It was nice to be able to spoil him up while Sadie was being spoiled with Mimi, Poppy, Chicher, and Uncle Steve!

We had a fun 4th of July!  Went to a neat parade in Greenville and experienced lots and lots of fireworks!

Finished it all off with some back to school shopping!

Our Last Summer Vacation

A few weekends ago, we went to Kerrville with 2 other families.  It was a blast!  The kids all played so well together!  We had lots of swimming, lots of eating and great memories made!

Meet the Teacher

We had Sadie's Meet the Teacher last night!  She was so excited and READY to meet her and some of the other kids in her class.  We walked in and found Sadie's spot.  I think she was most excited that she found a locker!  She has been talking all summer about wanting a locker.  Right now, puzzles are in her locker, so not sure if it will be used or not.  Her teacher was as sweet as can be and I feel that God has placed her exactly where he wants her this year!  We walked around the school and she got to see the gym where she'll have PE EVERY day!  I'm so glad about that!  I've heard that some schools only have PE 1 or 2 times a week.  We also got to meet her music teacher, where she will also go every day!   Her whole school was decorated like Duck Dynasty and had Si pictures all over the place!  The school year theme is DUCK Hunt: Demonstrating Ultimate Character & Kindness!  While I've got a little tiny bit of sadness about her getting so grown up, I'm more excited than anything.  Jeff and I have felt God in this move from the day we drove up to look around and decide if he wanted to apply for this job.  I know without a doubt, God has big plans for Sadie at her new school.  I'm excited that I get to have a sideline view and watch Him work!  Its going to be a great year!

Go Foxes!

Sadie is cheering this year for the Foxes flag football team!  She has a group of 7 sweet as can be 4 and 5 year olds on her squad.  We feel so blessed to have her with this group.  She is a typical 5 year old at practice, but when game time comes she puts her best foot forward.  I was worried that she would be shy and in front the stands with all the fans watching, but not one bit!  Go Foxes!!!

My thankfulness...

For 4 months now, I've been praying for our house to sell!  I keep trying to figure out what it is God wants me to learn through this.  Its not fun paying for 2 house payments plus, the up keep on one we're not even living in.  Well, it hit me the other day... through it all we've not struggled financially once through the last 4 months, so instead of begging and pleading with God on selling the house (which I know will sale in his time), I should be thanking him for providing for us until it is his time for it to sale.    I think I become so focused on my own agenda that I've got blinders on.  I can only see what's in front of me.  But God doesn't have blinders on.  He has a bigger plan and I just need to wait.  He will provide and care for me through it all.  He just wants me to sit back and trust him!

So far...

So far this is what I have learned... I need to add an inventory check list for toiletries & cleaning supplies. The kids and I went back to Costco today, which let me add was much quiter than it was Sunday!! We stocked up on paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, cleaner, and toothpaste. I'm going to work on and inventory chart for these items. Next month I'll be more prepared! Plus, I'm needing to gauge how much we use every month of these items.
I had a few people ask me how I stored everything. Here's a picture of our pantry and fridge. We also have a deep freeze in the garage. Our pantry in the rental is the littlest I've ever had! Once we get to move it will be a little more roomy! Plus we still have all of our garage storage shelves in our house we're trying sell, so some stuff will go on those one day. I have to admit, even if a little (or a lot) dorky, I love the fact that my fridge and pantry are all stocked up! (Organization will come at a later date)!!
