California August 2013
This is another long over due post...This is about our trip to California this past Summer. This trip was such a layed back trip.
We went to the beach almost every day while we were there.
Curran got a "Big Boy" haircut while we were there. That was the first thing that happened when we got there. Grandpa took Curran the first morning we were there. But grandpa had to bribe him with a snickers bar. But hey, it worked and I LOVED the haircut and still do. He has had another hair cut since this too.
We visited the missions in Oceanside and tried teaching the kids a little bit about History. Funny story about that. Inside the Catholic Cathedral there are a bunch of candles and when we walked the kids inside there to show the kids, Conrad kept yelling Happy Birthday and kept asking to go blow out the candles. It was pretty funny!!
Clint took Curran deep sea fishing one day and caught a lot of fish. They had A LOT of fun!
We were lucky enough to be there for our Niece Sara's baptism. I am glad we got to be there for that.
Callie LOVES strawberries so we took her to the Strawberry fields in Carlsbad. They were pretty delicious.
I went for an AMAZING nine mile run which ended with the family meeting me on the beach to play.
We had sooo much fun playing in Grandma and Grandpa's amazing backyard.
We took the kids on the coaster down to Solona Beach. The beaches there were gorgeous and they LOVED the train.
We can't wait to go back again.
Callie's Art Show
I SOOOO wish I would have gotten more pictures from Callie's Art show on November 4. My parents came and I wish I would have gotten a picture of Callie with them. She LOVES going to her art classes and her teacher Miss Debbie is so cute and so patient with Callie. Callie does a great job as long as she slows down and has a lot of guidance. I will keep her in these classes for as long as she wants to keep going. Even though she comes home with paint on her feet and legs. How that happens? I have NO idea! All I can say is; only Callie could pull that one off. Love her! It's been really good for her.
