Between Holidays

The day after Christmas we ventured out to shovel the sidewalk.  There was a ton of snow.  Jacob came out more for a reference point to see how high the snow was.

He loves playing in the snow...

One thing I love about snow flakes is that they are very unique.

This was how we spent our New Years.  It was fun, just hanging out and chilling...

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

Our traditional Apple Cider...

The next morning we woke up to freezing temperatures...kind of sad when the inside of your windows have ice built up on them.

Christmas Day!

We definitely woke up to a white Christmas...which I did not dream about, but it's Idaho...what can you do?  There was a ton of it.

YAY!  Santa came!

Jacob was excited, he just blinked right when I took the picture.

TA-DA!

Jacob loves dancing with these small canes...

A train calendar!

At first he wasn't excited for a dictionary...until he saw the inside...

A safe...where he promptly put all his candy and hid the key.

Rachael makes me wrap my stuff so in protest I put who it was really from...haha

Jacob loves watching this guy on YouTube.  He does a bunch of Minecraft videos and we found out that he made a book.  Jacob loved it.

LEGO'S!!!

Still snowing...

I didn't get any pictures of Jacob unwrapping my parents present, but the got him this HO scale train.  He loved it...

Rachael took a break for lunch...haha

It was kind of a bummer that we didn't get to do our original plans for Christmas, but it was still a great day!

Snow and Christmas Eve

So yeah, it's been busy and I'm still posting from last year...what can ya do?

One of the things we do every year is we get a gingerbread train or house to decorate.  Jacob has a blast doing it and this year was no different.  Just so you know, the gingerbread is just awful...but he just eats the candy anyways.

We received a ton of snow this year before Christmas...it was crazy.

Poor Jack was frozen...

On Christmas Eve I stopped at Walmart to pick up our sandwiches and saw some cows being driven down the road...it was pretty cool.

In Las Vegas at my sister's Walmart the sandwiches are on huge, long loaves of bread which we would have been cool, but ours unfortunately only does foot long sandwiches.  They were still tasty, but not as cool as a long 4-foot sub.  Due to the snow we weren't able to make it down to Rachael's moms house...the roads were horrible.  It was scary enough getting to Walmart and back.

We started off Christmas Eve with a present for Jacob and Lyle...Jacob loved his new robe.  It's like the one on Polar Express.

Lyle got Spiderman...

We also kicked off Christmas Eve watching A Muppet Christmas Carol and coloring plates.

Concentrating real hard...

And Jacob's traditional train plate...

Rachael went with a Grinch themed plate...

...as did I

Some nice looking plates this year...

After plates it was off to bed until Christmas!

Magic Eye

So, before Rachael and I got married I absolutely hated Magic Eye posters, cards, books...anything Magic Eye, then Rachael taught me how to see the pictures with a little postcard book she had of Disney postcards...now I love them!! They are way cool, I found some games on the Internet involving Magic Eye, Tetris and a maze. If you like Magic Eye give it a try. The top score I have gotten in Tetris so far is 4,450 points and I completed the maze in about 45 seconds. Good Luck!!!
