Fountain Springs Service

If you are feeling hopeless and want to know more about how to have HOPE please take the time to listen to David share how we can HOPE in some of the most hopeless situations: infertility, cancer, or broken marriages.

AMAZING

Fountain Springers!

What an incredible, God-sized weekend! Christ is risen - He beat death! He beat sin! If you were able to worship with us on Sunday at the Civic Center, you witnessed and experienced a powerful day where God was glorified! We had 2,950 people worship with us, with each service being nearly identical in attendance. What's even better -
423 people surrendered their life to Jesus Christ! We had ordered 300 New Believer Bibles thinking they would last into Fall ... we almost ran out at the first service! Within minutes after the second service concluded, they were completely gone. We "took orders" for over 100 for those that raised their hands to accept Christ.

Let me speak to something very specific:  All of this happened through the hands and feet of 247 people who served on Saturday and Sunday.  All 423 of the folks who surrendered their lives to Christ were COUNTING ON the 247 people who served.  What a great God we serve!

  • THIS SUNDAY we launch our new series:  Five Lies of the Devil.
  • Our new gathering times start this Sunday: 9 am, 10:30, & NOON.

If you're a regularFountain Springer and you can make it, I want to strongly encourage you to open up room at the earlier services by attending the NOON service.  I can't wait to see you there!

All in,
Pastor David

He is Risen

I might make this year the best Easter yet. I feel like my heart was more in the right place than most years. We spent weeks in preparation by asking the question, "Who is counting on You?" (to tell them about Jesus). I found myself actively seeking people who I knew needed to hear about Jesus and be at church on Sunday. Our church rented out the civic center and our prayer was that each service would be packed. Our prayers were answered. Chris and I kept looking around during the first service in amazement of what God was doing.
My focus this year was not on what dresses I would wear or the girls, what would be in the Easter baskets, or anything other than who needed to hear about the Hope that only Jesus can give to us. My favorite part of yesterday was watching 90 preschoolers worship. I LOVE that our church teaches them at such a young age to worship. Chris and I just laughed as we watched Hannah dance around and sing about Jesus. "Jesus is my superhero, He is my best friend".

Here are some pictures from the weekend. We got Hannah a Strider bike. It is a bike without pedals so they learn balance first and never need training wheels. She likes it so far. (I didn't get pictures with her helmet. The battery was dead when I tried to take some yesterday).

We might have a Diva on our hands....

6 month Stats

Forgot to post about Lucy's 6 month well-visit. She is 14 pounds and 4 1/2 ounces which put her in the 40th percentile for weight. She is 27 1/2" long which put her in the 90th percentile for height. Hmmm? The doctor asked me if I had tall and skinny babies. I don't think so.

T-shirts instead of dresses

This year there will be no stress over what dress I am going to wear, what accessories to put on or the horrible question of what shoes to wear (actually I might still have this question). Chris and I will be wearing the following t-shirt as we serve as volunteers at our church. Actually, we won't even be at church. We will be at the Civic Center. Our goal is to pack out the theater for 2 services. Our challenge for this week is to invite as many people as we can to one of the services.  I am pretty excited. I loved that we prayed for all the other churches in Rapid to have packed services as well.

And there must be pictures of Lucy. We have graduated to finger foods. Her favorites are Mum Mums and French Fries.

Bows

I didn't do bows and headbands with Hannah but I saw these at Hobby Lobby yesterday and just couldn't resist.

Baby Dedication Video

Hope this works. it took me all afternoon.

Baby Dedication

Today was Baby Dedication at our church. It's such a special time to pray over our girls. I wanted to share the prayer that Chris prayed over Lucy. I loved having our close friends surrounding us as we begin our parenting journey with Lucy.

"Dear Heavenly Father, today we  come before You as parents who not have all the answers. We are parents who are seeking Your grace and wisdom as we raise Lucy and Hannah. We know we cannot do this alone, and we are inviting You to be the central focus of our hearts and of our family.

Father, as parents we give Lucy to You. We trust You to lead us, and we depend on You to guide us. Our greatest desire is that Lucy and Hannah will grow up and make personal decisions to put their faith and trust in You as their Savior. Father, today we come before You, we pray that You would intervene in the heart and life of Lucy and that You would fill the gaps that we are not capable of filling.

Today we also commit to be parents who follow after Your heart. We commit to be parents who will raise Lucy and Hannah where they are learning and growing in their relationship with You.

Thank you for creating each individual in this room. Thank you for loving us. Amen."

From a Bunny to a Giraffe

Here is a video of Hannah rolling the ball to Lucy. She loves for Hannah to play with her.
