Quick Trip

We took a quick trip to DFW to have some family time before the move. I am trying not to panic that movers will be here in 2 weeks. I'm currently taking a break from cleaning out cabinets of liquids.

Here are a few pictures from the zoo:

Waiting to go in zoo--sisterly love

Lucy loved looking for the animals

Someone was too tired to walk

2nd largest salt water crocodile. It was HUGE

Looking at snake

Yes, we all pet the snake
A better pic of the HUGE crocodile

Practicing cartwheels

It was the perfect grassy area

Not sure where Lucy's bow went but love that goofy smile

Guessing that the next post will be from Alabama post move. Still can't believe it.

1-2 Preschool's Through

Hannah's class did a rhyme at graduation last week and it started with: 1-2 Preschool's through. I can not believe that she will be starting Kindergarten in a few months. It is crazy how time is just passing us by. I hope that I am cherishing each moment like I should. We are very ready for some lazy summer days to just hang out and enjoy the last few weeks of Texas. We have 5 weeks left before we pack up and head to Alabama.

Easter 2013

I am not good at blogging anymore. I don't seem to ever have pictures on my camera and don't have an easy way to get pictures from my phone to the computer so sorry for not updating this very often.  I don't know if I have given an update on our life lately so here is a bit of news. If you didn't know we are moving to Alabama this summer. We are very excited about being so close to home but of course it is always hard to leave friends. I feel like we just got settled and it is time to pick up and move again. God is so good though, we have sold our house and already have a house lined up in AL. We are working on getting Hannah in a magnet school for Kindergarten and I have found a Mother's Day Out program for Lucy. It feels like everything is falling into place and we are just thankful that the Lord always works those details out. I will continue in leadership with Bible Study Fellowship and am very excited about continuing to teach in the Children's program. It has been such a blessing this year. If you are not familiar with BSF, here is the link. It is an amazing program that has grown me so much over the past 2 years.  www.bsfinternational.org.

Here is a picture of the girls from Easter. Hannah was having dress issues so she does not look happy in this picture. She was fine once we got in the car but it was quite the battle getting there.

Easter 2013

Here is a picture of me and Chris. We went to a going away dinner for our good friend, Dan, this week. He and Chris have worked together for about 7 years or so. Dan was probably one of Chris' first friends when he got into the squadron all those years ago. We have walked a very hard road with Dan this past year and we are wishing him all the best as he moves to San Antonio. It really made me realize how much we love and treasure those friends that become like family. It's hard to describe the ties that you have to these people that you are thrown together with to do life.

Mornings

These 2 were too cute the other morning. Lucy got as close to Hannah as she could without getting in her lap. Sweet sisters!

NYC

Chris and I took a 10 year anniversary trip to NYC after Christmas. Thank you so much to Gram, Granddaddy, Mimi and Pops for making it possible. We could not have gone without their willingess to keep the girls and take days off work. We had a lot of fun. We found a hotel off the beaten path in the Flat Iron District called Hotel Giraffe. They updated our room to a King Suite and it was great to have all the room--not that we spent much time there.

Chris had to get a hat to keep his head warm. It never got much above 25 degrees while we were there. COLD!!

Time Square

Rockefeller Christmas Tree--looked a little puny by now and not a great picture.

Pictures from Top of the Rock. Again SUPER COLD and WINDY up there.

Grand Central Station

Our favorite was our food tour. We and 15 other people met up at Chelsea Food Market--home of Food Network and spent 3 hours eating some really great food.

Red Velvet "Cuppy" Cake

Organic Chocolate Mik--delish!!

Interesting way to package mayo

This panini was AWESOME

Bacon salt

Shepherd's Pie

Beautiful Produce

Sarahbeth's Bakery

During the food tour he took us up to the High Line.

Chris does not like bridges very much but he was good to face his fears and walk over the Brooklyn Bridge with me--or halfway

This is my favorite picture. Discovered Chris' love for Theodore Roosevelt. I made him sit down with him and take a picture. I think his favorite part might have been the National History Museum.
