Easter Dress Pictures

I know it's a little late, but Easter was also Stake Conference for us, and I'll admit it we skipped it in hopes to potty train Taylor, so we didn't get to wear our Easter clothes. I know there's a lot of pics, but it's hard to pick out my favorites.

I don't like how it reverses the order of the pictures when you upload them, otherwise I would NEVER put my picture first. That being said, the picture isn't that bad for not knowing Daylan was taking my picture.

Spring Break

My mom was able to come up for 9 days during Paige's Spring Break this year. She always comes during horrible weather so she never gets to see any of the good stuff in Chicago, case in point, it was 70 the week before she came and snowing when her plane landed. We had to cut the trip to the zoo out of our plans, but we were able to take her to The Museum of Science and Industry and she got to go to our 5 park activities and see the 5 different parks. Here are a few trips to our favorite museum, after 4 trips I think we have finally seen it all!

Hanging out on the Boeing 727 that is suppended from the ceiling of the Museum.

Some of the airplanes that we had never seen before at the museum.

Walking through the "Days of Yesterday" area with the theatre and Berghoff's restaurant.

Taylor was a little to anxious to get into see Andy our friend that works at Jenner and Block...too bad it was just a facade. And watching the baby chickens that had just hatched in the farm area.

The trolley we had never noticed before and Grandma showing Paige all the different buildings in the Seattle model, and of course we were able to find Iver's Acres...one of these days we'll live there and become overweight from eating at Iver's too much...but that will be a few years down the road.

Conductor Taylor playing on the trains.

Circus time! Okay, it's not as fun as the circus we went to in November but this will have to due until the day after Thanksgiving.

Finally my mom has long legs...unfortunately it only made my long legs ever longer.

"It's a proud flag! A high flying flag!" (can anyone besides Charity get that movie reference?!)

Harlem Globetrotters

On the last night of my mom's trip here we took her and the girls to see the Harlem Globetrotters. It was really fun, my mom hadn't seen them since 1963 and I hadn't seen them in 10 years. The girls had a blast and Paige loved getting to yell as loud as she could.
The coach of the LOSING Washington Generals made a bet with Special K that if the Generals won Special K had to become a General and if the GT won that the crowd got to pick out an outfit for him. Thankfully he ended up wearing the hotdog and ballerina outfits at the end. But it was VERY close!

Paige and Grandma Wendy enjoying some Globetrotters action!

The Globetrotters warming up to their theme song 'Sweet Georgia Brown'.
The Globetrotters #1 Fan President Barack Obama! Let's just say the crowd went a little crazy when our hometown boy showed up on the big screen.
Globie warming up the crowd. (I guess this is the good kind of 'global warming')
All of the Bulls banners in the United Center.
Globie on the balance beam.
Oh ya, we need to thank Peggy Cook from church for giving us her two tickets to the Globetrotters, which made it WAY more affordable, and thanks to Taylor for only being 35.75" tall so she still got in for free (good thing they didn't cound her shoe height into it).

Easter

Grandma Wendy hid some of the eggs too high so Paige resorted to scaling the formal fireplace.
Success!
I KNOW it's in there!
Awaiting the go ahead to open their baskets!
Sorry the video is really long, it won't hurt my feelings if you don't watch it all, but some family members asked us to post it so they could enjoy the girls Easter morning with them. Highlight quote of the morning was Paige describing the eggs they got from their Grandma and Grandpa Drummond. "Taylor's has some weird birds on it and mine has a fence with some flowers on it." In our church we don't use the cross, so Paige didn't realize that the "fence" on her egg was actually a cross. We don't use the cross in our religion because while we are very greatful for Christ giving his life for us, we focus on his resurrection and the Living Christ.
