3 Months Old!

Our little Kaitlyn Joy is 3 months old today! In the past month she has gotten a lot less fussy. She is still all smiles. Lately she's been taking short naps, only 45 minutes or less. That's been a little tough on me but at least she's happy when she's awake! I'm hoping it's only a phase. Kaitlyn is getting close to rolling over. She's rolled onto her side so it's got to be soon! She is also doing better with tummy time. She still cries but not as soon as she used to. She's even using her arms a little too to keep her head up. She is also holding some of her toys. She doesn't reach for them but if they are close to her hand she will grab them and hold on.

Kaitlyn's likes:
*All the things from the 2 month blog
*Playing on the floor with mommy and daddy
*Looking at books and being read to
*Being held so she faces out. She is so alert and observes everything around her.
*Her fist/pacifier

Kaitlyn's face is always so expressive. Here are a few I captured trying to get a good 3 month picture this morning.

Her typical smile however her neck seems to have gone missing

This one just cracks me up!

A Week Without My Hubby

Last week Aaron took 6 teens on a mission trip to Scottsville, Kentucky. They helped a church put on a week long VBS, something they hadn't been able to do in years. Naturally, Kaitlyn and I stayed here. I couldn't imagine trying to go with her! We stayed very busy and actually had an enjoyable week, while still missing Aaron of course. :) They left Sunday after church. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday Kaitlyn and I visited ladies from church. Wednesday afternoon our 5 visitors arrived! My mom, sister, and her three kids came to visit until Saturday. I was so thankful they were willng to come down! It made my week go so much quicker. I was a little nervous about how Kaitlyn would do with all those extra people in the house, especially have three extra kids! She did so well. I couldn't have asked her to do any better.

Here are some things we did:
*visited the old parsonage(that was the only house the boys hadn't been to and they wanted to see it!)
*played in the gym at church
*went swimming
*went to the park
*played with toys
*had a cookout with hotdogs and s'mores
*went to the monument by the river
We had such a good time. I'm looking forward to when Kaitlyn can actually play with her cousins!

Zehr Happenings

A couple weeks ago Kaitlyn had a play date with her first friend, Wyatt. He's two months older than her. She loved watching him play!

One of Kaitlyn's favorite things to do is vacuum with me. She loves the sound and the movement.

Another one of Kaitlyn's favorites is floor time with mommy and daddy. She enjoys being read to and loves looking at the pictures. It's one of my favorite times too! :)

She is still full of smiles and has been doing lots of talking lately!

This past weekend Aaron's family came to visit. Kaitlyn did pretty well. I think it tired her out because she's done a lot of sleeping since they left!

On Sunday we had Kaitlyn dedicated. She cried at the end but overall she did pretty well. Aaron's parents got her this adorable dress so it was fitting that they were able to be there for it. She looked beautiful! She was so beautiful that even two 4&5 year old boys were talking about her. One said that she looked like a princess. How sweet!:)

Monday was Kaitlyn's first 4th of July and she was in her first parade. We walked for the Angel Food Ministry at church so I just pushed her in the stroller. She did great!
