New York for Jack's Birthday 2018!

Jack has been trying to find the time and opportunity to visit Sagamore Hill for years and this year for his birthday he finally made it happen!
Sagamore Hill is Theodore Roosevelt's  home in Oyster Bay New York.
It was really beautiful there and a really interesting place to visit. If you are ever in that area I highly recommend a visit!

Beautiful Oyster Bay.

 Teddy's grave.
After Jack had satisfied his desire to visit the the 26th president's house we headed into the city.

Must have pizza while in New York. I think it's a city ordinance.
View from our room.
Saturday morning we headed out early to go to the Manhattan LDS Temple.

After a lovely morning in the Temple we headed out to see the City!
Grand Central Station
New York Public Library

Katz's Deli

 Greenwich Village

Washington Square Park

We had to wander around quite a bit because we "needed" to pass by Electric Lady Studios (Jimmy Hendrix) and 177A Bleecker Street (Sanctum Sanctorum/Dr. Strange).
A book store stop is also a necessity.

Washington Mews

Jack and his tribe hunting for obscure music together.
The next morning we needed to head for home but we stopped in to see St. Patrick's Cathedral before we hit the road.

We had such a fun time exploring the city and celebrating The Man's birthday. He really does make our lives better and happier everyday!

The 40th Year!

I believe that when you when you turn 40 you get to plan your own Birthday celebrations and for the most parts my friends and family went along with that notion. Although a surprise party was sprung upon me! But all of my other whims were accommodated with good will!
Surprise!

Girl's Trip to Cape Henlopen!
My favorite beach with my favorite ladies!
Bunk Beds and Bikes!
So relaxing and fun!
After the girl's trip my family took me to explore the Brandywine Valley in Delaware and Pennsylvania. It's an area I have wanted to see for a long time and we had a great time. I would like to go back again and see more!
Hagley Museum, Brandywine Valley, Delaware
This is such an interesting place! It is area where the Dupont family set up their first business in America. There are houses and gardens, museums and beautiful grounds. We all enjoyed it.

Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

These gardens are amazing! I HIGHLY recommend a visit! It isn't cheap but so gorgeous! Every inch is well thought out and tended beautifully!

Everything was gorgeous and fun and a wonderful start to my 40th year!
