Messy Bessy

Ever since we found the book from the library "Messy Bessy" that name has stuck. The book is about a little girl who is a bit messy. Whom ever is the messiest of the day in our family gets dubbed that title. Can you guess who was our Messy Bessy of the day?

In her Spot

It all started when I had the idea to put William in the infant swing outside. You can only guess who wasn't too happy about it.I suggested she push the baby...but that didn't last too long.
This seemed to satisfy her.....but you can only guess who else wanted to swing.

Preschool

Suzanna has officially started preschool. It's after naps every day while Ella sleeps & William's on tummy time. The beauty of it all, we don't have to leave the house. We do it right here on the kitchen table. We have this really great teacher's store down the road that we got some things and we've also used the library as a resource. So far so good!
We started seeing these shapes appear since Sunday during Sunbeams. Suzanna will tell you they are smiley faces. The two things on top....ears? Nope, "Those are ponies".Sweet girl.
The hat. Wears it every day. Loves it. The most use I've seen 25 cents being used.

Sweetpeas

Call me a bias but I think our little kids are the sweetest.

Uuuuh-huuu Mama

I'm sure you've heard of "you-who" to get someones attention. Well, the girls have morphed that phrase into "Uuuu-huuu". It was quiet time, an hour or so into it. Ella had the sweetest voice calling through the door. "Uuuu-huuuu Mama".

Imaginations

Someone is very happy.
Finally.
She was given the permission to play with the beloved Veggie Tales figurines.
That's progress!
In the beginning Suzanna was playing on the table to get away from her, but now they play side by side. Of course sometimes they spot something they both want to play with.......but most of the time it resolves its self quickly and they go about using their imagination.

Good Night Will

The New Generation

Somehow I feel that soon the girls will know more about the computer than I.

"You are my Best Friend"

Today as Casey and I were cleaning up lunch we heard Suzanna say to Ella one again, "You are my best friend." We both stopped what we were doing and smiled at one another. As my parents always said, friends come and go but your sister will be your sister forever.
All day yesterday Suz was saying, "Ride my back, Ella!" Piggy-backs anyone??

The Coveted Chair

We bought this chair to put in our room so I could comfortably nurse William there. However, there is a little person who chases me to my seat. I don't mind her sitting in it when I'm done nursing, but sometimes I just got up to change is diaper and wake him up. At those times, of course, she gets the boot. Other times it's fine she loves this chair.
When she first attempts to get in it, her face is buried in the cushion and feet dangling in the air. She finally pulls herself up and demands (whom ever is standing there) to toss her the blank. Next she points to the empty section next to her and says "Wiow" (Will) and that's their special time together with baby brother. He's a good sport. He doesn't mind a bit that she pulls her pink fleece blanket over his lap.....
....gives him kisses.....
.....or just a snugly glance.

It's great our three wee are compatible.

Two Month Surprise

Last night we weren't sure how long William would stretch past 2200. We've been reading the book "On Becoming Baby Wise" religiously. Chapters six (Establishing a Routine) and seven (Nap time and Wake time) have been highlighted, written in and read over and over again. The book is great in guiding you to become successful with putting your baby on a schedule. It promises you that you'll have a happier baby on your hands and if you do as they suggest, feed/wake/sleep, your baby will sleep through the night (at 2 months 7-8 hours).

William surprised me when he stretched 9 hours last night. And of course, although he wasn't awake, my eyes popped open at 4am thinking "Is he okay?"
Now the question will be...can he do it again tonight?

"No Up"

If you can hear past the wind in the microphone it's fun to hear the girls giggle and play.

Something else to be happy about? The house is under contract (within two weeks of it being on the market) Hallelujah!! Also, we're done with showings, Occupancy Permit Inspections, Appraisal's & Home Inspections. Wow, that means the house is back to us, at least for the next 6 weeks. Packers then Beach House.

Gingerbread Shirts

The girls just love the shirt Aunt Annie sent them. It's all about gingerbread around here, good thinking!

A Little Warmer

Now that it's a little warmer today we spent the morning outside. We didn't get a lot of pictures this last huge snow storm but we still have a huge chunk of snow in front of the house that the girls love to play with.
William all bundled up ready for a walk. Baby Boot Camp? Yes, he must have gotten the memo ahead of time, he slept the longest stretch he's ever done. Go William go!
Rounding the bricks in the front yard has been a favorite thing to do after walks. They go around and around and around.

Baby Boot Camp

....it starts tonight. What is that you might ask? Well, to reassure you it has nothing to do with low crawling.....

This is low crawling for all those non-military folk, as illustrated in the picture above and below.

Baby Boot Camp will entail cutting out the 0300 feeding. He'll have his long stretch from 2200 to 0600. How many nights will it take, Will????
The Marine is put on duty tonight.....since they've got it more tough than the Army, I saw it best for him to show us what he's made of. Hoorah!!

Getting Stronger

January has been a month of tests. We've gotten stronger as a family. We've learned to pull in when we need to. We're stronger in health, we're stronger at working as a nuclear unit & we're stronger in the faith.
What a miracle that we're a happy and healthy family of five. What a gift life truly is.
He's on a roll, literally. Tummy time usually doesn't last to long before he's rolled. Here are some 8 week smiles.
His captive audience.....
....his big sisters looking out for him.

Reading Buddy

What a great reading buddy.
Suzanna taking a picture of William and me.

The Ice Chip Photo Narration

Hiding behind the Ikea Chair, I heard giggling. I wondered what was so secretive and humorous. Then I realized Ella had herself an ice chip. Someone wanted some payment for it see what she requires.

Tilly Mouskovitz

She's been role playing for quite some time. Today she was Tanya "Tilly" Mouskovitz this morning. Can you tell by the scarf?

Suz asks if we can listen to "cats eat the mouse" song (in the beginning of An American Tail when the cats are chasing the mice in the little town in Russia). It's the girls wild "chase me" song.

They just love the tent tube, seeing Casey chase them through it makes us laugh. It's like watching a boa eat a mouse.

Sweet Little Brother

We've been Casey-less for the last few days as he was TDY house hunting for us in Florida. It was so nice to have him back. This is the second night of that, the girls have been going crazy now that he's home.
Another popular person in the house is baby William. Suzanna is one of his biggest fans, next to Ella. "He's peaking his eye at me" is something you'll hear a lot. He tracks her every move with his eyes, and especially loves when she sings to him. It is so nice to have three little kids who love one another. Even at such a young age they have unique relationships.
As of lately when I finish nursing William, Ella wants to sit in the "special chair", it's now her turn. She also requests that William is placed right next to her. And they sit there, looking at me, Ella gives him kisses, pokes and everything else a 19 month old may do.Can you guess who is the author of this photo? Look at the next picture for the clue.
