Korean Style

How's the best way to carry your baby? Korean style.....first you get the baby, put it on their back, grab their special blankets and wrap them really tight. Wha-laa.....your own carrier. I took a sneak peak yesterday after dinner, they were playing so nicely together.
Suzanna in a giggly mood. Here she's trying to scare me....

Beach Park

We like going to the Beach Park (that's what we call it because it's just about a 1/2 mile from the beach). Its also next door to the Butterfly House (which we're really excited about going to soon), a sprinkler park (I've always wanted to live near one of those), a pond full of ducks, swans & turtles, piers, a board walk next to the Santa Rosa Sound and lots of sand under the play area. The girls love coming here. If we make it by 9am, we've got the whole place to ourselves. If the girls had it their way, we'd be here every day.
This old boat just sits on the sound. We've seen fishermen fishing off it, and I hear it was once very nice, before the coast got hit by Hurricane Ivan. I guess this area was hit hard.
Yesterday our Lily and her mom came along with us to the park. When we passed out the bread, Ella must have thought it was a snack because all the bread pieces ended up in her mouth and none for the ducks. Same thing happened today with the last bit of bread we had. Suz decided she'd like to take a little bite for herself and Ella. No problem, I have a feeling the birds are fed very well, being this is a vacation spot and the park is easy access and noticeable from the main road.
Walking on the pier.
We love the blue skies and nice cool breeze off the water.
Someone did not want to come home. The rest of us were ready to get out of the sand and have some lunch.

Stand Up, Stand Up!

Wow William, we're impressed!

Sunshine All Day

We've had amazing weather. Today we went to the sprinkler park down the road (just outside the beach) and went for a little walk near the Santa Rosa Sound with our neighbor Lily and her mom. Off to our favorite swings, Ella's feeling it!I love this little sign on the way to Navarre Beach. It is true, not many know about the white sanded beaches......makes going to the beach clean, nice and empty. I never thought I was a real beach fan, but I think I'm really enjoying it. It's very tranquil and nice, even with three little kids in hand. Plenty to do for everyone. The girls were interested in something off the pier. Ella got soaked from the sprinkler park, Suz on the other hand was much more apprehensive, hence the dry pants.

Family Night April 2009

We've really started enjoying our weekly family night. The girls are a little bit older, they know more songs and can sit longer while we have a short spiritual thought. We had the spiritual part of Family Night last night but since we have such little time together from 5pm dinner to 7pm bedtime, we decided to continue with the activity tonight. The votes were unanimous, we went to the Beach. We've started another family tradition of taking a picture of our family once a month around the same time. It will be neat to see how much the kids grow from month to month.
Being tossed into the air is always fun.
After Suzanna she responded "Mama's next". LOL This seagull was hovering over head (he's almost in every picture), I think he thought we brought some break for him. Next time buddy, next time.
Loving the sun.
Ella was completely covered in sand, including everyone else who was around her. It was very welcoming, the ocean. It almost lured you in with its roar. Beautiful evening to spend with my favorite people in the world.
The almost two-year-old.

Have a great week everyone!

Sweet Girls

Can't beat having your best friend as a sister. I lucked out too, I've got three.

Story Teller

Suz has really been into story telling as of lately. She'll take everything in (not say a peep in public "I'm shy" she'll tell me later when asked why she didn't say anything). I think she really enjoys have the two windows in her bedroom (they face the street) because after Quiet Time she'll tell me all she saw out the window and make up a story of the construction workers.
She's telling me a story here.

Summer Dresses

We've had such lovely weather lately. It's been nice. We've been out as much as possible, trying to soak it all in before summer/bugs hit with full force. Summer dresses and sandals, every day.
Odd man out. This is what happened when I put William in the baby swing and Suz took the other one.
It didn't take long for her to find fun in pushing William in the swing. Suzanna has also been the peacemaker lately and will give her swing up for Ella or the neighbor friend when emotions get high.
Suz pushing Ella.....pure joy!

Milk Commercial

This looks like some commercial to me....maybe we should send in the picture!

Suz, Ella & Lily

Suz and Ella had their own way of doing things, and they did everything together. When they cut their sandwiches, it was always diagonally. When they rode their bikes, they always used hand signals. If Suz was hungry, Ella was too. They were two of a kind, and that's the way it was - until indomitable Lily, who had her own way of doing things, moved into the neighborhood.

Stroll Around the House

Just taking it easy. The girls were strolling around down the hallway. William loves how much the girls adore him. I don't think he minds either that they squish him into the toy stroller. He just enjoys being around them. These strollers are worth every penny for as much as they get wheeled around here with things from babies, blanks, brother & toys.
Sweet little face. Every morning they ask to wear cousin Lizzy and Maddy's "meow shirts"......even though Suzanna's is way too big.

Disgruntled Blog Viewers

It was recently brought to my attention that there are some disgruntled blog viewers out there, once patient but now more than ready to see pictures of our Florida home. Honestly, we've had days and nights filled with moving in and getting things up. We've still got a list of about a half a dozen things we still need to do inside here and there. However, I did walk thru the house today and took some snap shots.

Come on in!

Ella's bedroom. My neighbor with the exact same floorplan commented how much bigger the bedrooms looked to hers, I had to point out the girls have a toddler bed and Will a crib (which we're in the process of putting up). Once the kids get twin beds, it will swollow up the space. Dining Room. Back of the house.
A peak out the sliding glass door. Yes, the lawn is crying for water.....guess we can't get away with never watering but having beautiful green grass (as in O'Fallon). We'll have to brace ourselves for the water bill!

My Mini-Me or Mini-Him?

I'm not sure at times if Suzanna is more like me or Casey. Physically she is a good mix of the two of us (at least what we looked like at that age), and as far as personality goes it's hard to tell (she's only 3).

Suzanna latest? She wants to say the prayer on every meal and all the family prayers as well. It's hard not to laugh when during every prayer she inserts "Bless us to do anything and everything we want to do". Very cute.

Happy as a Clam

This little guy just brightens up our day. Very happy, smiley and full of heart warming giggles. We're so glad he choose to be apart of our family.
