February information
Hey Club, I just wanted to post the information we covered this week at club.
So first off, the Sr. Citizen dance is today! (Feb 7th) and I hope to see you all there! But more importantly is the PSO card fundraiser.
The PSO fundraiser is key to us keeping our club around for another year. So those of you who volunteer to sell the card, THANK YOU!!!! I need to submit our cards by the 16th. Which is Presidents day, a day we have no school.... So I would love to have them by 13th/14th. You can find me every morning in the Upper rotunda, and I have an alternating lunch, (A-day I have 2nd lunch, and B-days I have 1st lunch) So you can find me then too (I typlicly eat in the Commans).
Speaking of V-day, there is going to be a HUGE dance at the Tigard Ballroom (8900 SW Commercial St. Tigard, OR) There is going to be a live band for the Swing Dance for only 8 dallors with your Student ID. And there are also two other dance (Christian/Country and Ballroom/West Coast/Latin) which you can also attened. The other dances cost an extra $4. It is going be crazy! You can also turn in your PSO stuff to me then too.
Well, that is what is happening, and I hope you guys can come to the dances, and sell those PSO cards!

New year plans
Hey guys, first post of 2009! But we have bigger fish to fry then the new year. The annual bake off is this week, Jan 22! It will be a great way to end the semester, since we will not be having club on the 29 since it's finals week, and it's also a half-day. (yes the 29th is a half day, you can check a copy of the finals schedule from here)
In other news the senior citizen dance is Feb 7th from One pm to Three pm. The dance is free, and in the school cafeteria. There will be food, and music...by who, I don't know... So keep checking the blog, and the event page on facebook. Since I will be updating those with information, as I get it.
So a few basic rules for the dance.
1. Ask the seniors to dance (I mean you leads!)
2. Dress nicely. (boys: slacks and button down shirts; girls: skirt&blouse/dress) (dress like your visiting your uptight grandmother on Christmas)
3. No dancing and ditching (leads walk your follow back to her chair.)
We'll cover these rules and basics of social dancing during club until the dance. I would like all of you to come to at least one social dance before the senior citizen dance. Now I could give you a ride, and if money is an issue I can arrange for you to come for a lower rate then $6 dollars.
Well, That's all for now folks
