Logan (the city not the kid, okay he's in here too!)

Last week we went to the beautiful city of Logan. It really is a beautiful place and with all the fall colors and warm weather it was a great day. Logan (our son) thinks he is the most special person in the whole family because he has a temple named after him. He thinks he will grow up to be the mayor of Logan, and was thrilled to see all the signs of things belonging to him. We spent most of our time at the Logan temple trying to get pictures of our kids, which is really hard to do, and took longer than we expected so we didn't get to see much else of the city.

Summer in review

Our summer was mostly spent stressing and planning for our move to Utah. We did sneak in two family camping trips, one with the Thurgood's and one with the Corless'. We went with the Thurgood's to Mt. Rainier and had so much fun. We enjoyed hiking, riding bikes, playing and celebrating Ellie's 2nd birthday!

We went with the Corless' to Lake Cascade. We enjoyed the view from our camping spot, hiking, crafts, and playing with cousins. We also enjoyed Uncle John's campfire stories and Logan's later renditions of the same stories.

Adventures

I know it has been a long time and so much has happened. Our move went very well and we are getting settled. We were in a hotel for 5 days before we could move in so we spent that time on adventures. Our first was the Dinosaur Park. It has lots of Dinosaur statues outside and skeletons and fossils indoors. Parker was terrified through most of the ordeal, while Ellie found it all amuzing.

Another adventure was to the Hill Aerospace Museum. It was super windy outside and there was a big group of rowdy kids on a field trip so we didn't stay outside too long. The kids loved it. They loved walking by all the planes and seeing all the old planes indoors. Kailey loved the wedding dress they had on display from WWII, it was made out of parachute silk. Logan loved the old uniforms on display. My favorite part was when the kids were watching a black and white video of WWII. The t.v. was on display in a wooden crate, and my kids said, "oh, that is how t.v.'s looked in the olden days," and then Logan said, "I wonder how they made t.v.'s out of wood."

Second Honeymoon

I haven't written in so long that I feel like I have to have something major to blog again. Well not much has been going on, until last week when Justin and I went on a second honeymoon. We went on a cruise in the Bahamas, and it was AWESOME!!! It was so beautiful and so nice to be alone together, no kids to take care of. It was a great way to celebrate 11 years. So here are some pictures (can you tell I can't stop thinking about it and can't get back to Mommy mode).

We spent a night in Cocoa Beach before the cruise, the beach there was beautiful also.

This is how blue the water was from the boat, amazing!

Kailey's baptism

My oldest child was baptized on the 3rd of July. It was such an amazing experience, I think I was on the verge of tears all weekend. I am so proud of my little sweetie. All of our families were here with the exception of 2 uncles. We had so much fun spending time with our together. Thanks all for coming!!!

Cle Elum

We have been so busy this summer, it is so nice to have lots to do. We started all the fun with a trip up to Cle Elum. Justin's parents have some land up there that we all like to meet at and camp. We spent a weekend there, canoeing, playing at a park, and swimming at the hotel pool (no, we didn't camp this time).
