27 Weeks

I knew it was a bad sign when even my 18 year old oblivious brother could tell that my belly had gotten bigger. "Tiff, your belly has really gotten big this last week!" Huh. thanks Todd.
so....I figured I'd show the world what I look like now, since there is apparently a drastic difference. Enjoy!

an epiphany

I've been thinking lately...
Why is it that husbands don't carry the children? They don't give a rip if they gain weight, get out of control huge chests, or get stretch marks. In fact, they probably wouldn't even notice a difference. And they can sleep anywhere, on any surface, and still come away refreshed. Not to mention the fact that they wouldn't throw up at random things like a sneeze or a cough.
So the only conclusion that I could come to that made me feel better was this:
I guess I'm just tougher than my husband, so I can handle childbirth and he can't. That has to be it. and I feel much better now! :)

Hi everyone!!! This is "the husband." I thought that maybe I should say hi (since I am a part of this family and all).

HI

There, I think that should be sufficient. Have a Happy Holidays everyone!!!

Good News!

Great news everyone! Today we had another ultrasound with a perinatologist (spelling??) and the cists on the kid's brain are gone! WAHOO!!! that is really quite helpful, since that means she is not at an increased risk for a genetic defect. but don't worry. some lame Genetics Counselor came in to talk to us and started saying all this crap about how our baby has a 1 in 600 (that's like 2/10's of 1 percent, in case you were wondering) chance of having Trisomy 18 ("Do you know what that is??" is what she said in her most condescending-I'm-talking-to-a-5-year-old tone) and if little Emily did have Trisomy 18 then she would be severely deformed and only live for a few hours. "but as of right now the ultrasound doesn't show any deformities at all so hopefully she will be fine." Nice. then why did you even bring it up lady?? Anyway, if you hadn't noticed, I was super bugged after our little chat. but the bottom line is that Emily is doing great and we are way excited!! Thanks for your fasting and prayers everyone. We really appreciate it.

a lesson for expectant fathers

Don't cook elk liver and onions and then try to kiss your pregnant wife, cause she will want to fight you. and then she'll want to throw up. I'm just throwing that out there.

Lame 17 year old girls

so today my Dad is going to work and he sees window paint all over my little brother Todd's car windows. he just tells Todd there is stuff on his car and then goes on his way. so the rest of us go outside and actually read what is written.....I had to add a picture of it since you wouldn't believe me if I just told you. but how retarded is this 17 year old girl?! I told Todd to be happy to get rid of that crazy cat! and it gave us all a laugh. oh man. How glad I am to be done with high school. was I ever that lame when I was her age?? I sure hope not.

20 week belly

well folks, here's how I look so far. I'm halfway there, and it's starting to feel like it's coming really soon. For those that haven't heard, I'm having a baby girl in March. I've only gained 15 pounds so far, which I'm excited about. Although I can't remember what it feels like to fit in my favorite jeans or bend over without it hurting my belly. and today the kid (that's what we call her) was kicking me right in my guts/liver area. I full on nearly jumped right out of my seat during church! she and I had a quick heart to heart and I pushed her back so she finally moved. I'm sure she was like "um...mom? You're not giving me very much room in here hello. would you quit pushing on me??" Gotta show the kid who's boss early on, ya know? :)

go ahead and laugh at me being an idiot

So I mainly just wanted to see if I could really upload a video and get it to work. But this is a funny video. I was supposed to tackle Cory and send him flying into the pit and laugh because I'm big and tough. In my dreams. It didn't quite turn out the way I expected. I guess I'm not much of a football player.... and don't worry. It looks like I got hurt, but I really didn't.
