We had a wonderful Christmas!! Since it was Presley's 1st, it was extra special!! WE did 4 houses in 2 days!! So it was a little crazy.. but we made it work. :) Presley got LOTS of clothes, an activity table, riding horse, dolls, books, tea set, a cash register, just to name a few.. the girl has got alot of people that LOVE her.. this is for sure!!!! We also got to see her cousin Elise.. she is 2 days younger than Presley.. it was fun seeing them play together! We had a great time with family~ I just love this time of year!!
The other day it was very warm for December, so Courtney and I took the babies to the Arlington Square for a photo shoot :) IT was fun! My favorite are the pictures of the two of them together! She did a great job capturing Presley's funny faces:) I still have to do some more Christmas shopping, wrapping, and more on planning this birthday party for Presley.. so it may be a while before another post...
So.. most of you know.. Presley is turning one on NEW YEAR's EVE.. she just couldn't stand not coming in with a BANG..LOL I have been planning like a mad woman.. and we are set on a Winter Wonderland theme-since she is turning one and I thought it was great for the season.. we are just going to use pink and white instead of blue.. and lots of ornaments, snowflakes, you get the picture?? I also thought it would be super cute to have everyone hold a sparkler every year when we sing "Happy Birthday"-- and make this a fun tradition:) Here is her invitation that my friend Allie Johnson did for me.. I thought it turned out super cute!! Any advice for first birthdays?? We are having it a 4pm that afternoon.. I am going to serve several soups, ( which we are getting from NEWKS, yum!) hot finger foods, etc.
h So.. the other day.. We went shopping with Grammie, Aunt Nikki, Aunt Britt, Jack, and Isabella... Miss Presley did ok with Santa... She didn't really know what to think of him and gave a little smile for the camera... But when we choose to go to the Enchanted Forest during her nap ( not such a good idea on my part:) She had a different way of smiling for him.. on this day! See pics. It was so much fun to see her ewww and ahhh at all the animals ( who are ALL older than me) that move and just LOVED the Train-- it was her favorite part! It made me think about going to the old Goldsmiths downtown-- with those same animals and seeing Santa... It was so much fun and I hope she will have many happy memories!I am looking forward to many fun years ahead.. celebrated Christmas.. but it being her 1st -- this one is extra special!! I can't wait to make many traditions with her and Matt for this very special time of year! Also, we saw the PERFECT TREE for Presley's 1st birthday.. she is having a Winter Wonderland Party-- I really wish I could have this exact tree for it.. We will just pretend:)
Can you believe that in less than 2 months my little baby girl will be ONE years old... Oh, how time flies.. I am in AWE... I have been super excited to celebrate her 1st Christmas and New Year.. and oh yeah.. BIRTHDAY.. all a while, being so sad at the same time..
This has been such a great year.. My very favorite year!!!!! God has blessed me with this beautiful perfect little girl.. and I will NEVER really know what I did to deserve such an ANGEL... She is such a joy. Inside and Out.. My heart.. My love.. My girl. And I can't help but think.. How much God loves me so have given me such a gift Many people go through life knowing what they want to be when they grow up.. I always struggled with that.. Until God made it so clear.. in more than one way-- that I was suppose to be a MOM!! I am grateful for a husband who provides for me and lets me do that job to the fullest. He deserves a big crown in heaven one day for that! I love him more and more-- especially when I see him with our little girl.. It is a precious site!! I wish I had a pause button from time to time... to hold on to all this sweet little moments.. All her 1st! But, she is growing so fast.. I can just savory them one by one.. and get excited for the next! More importantly.. I want her to see Jesus.. like the song says.. "You can have all this world, but give me Jesus".. My prayer.. from pregnancy on.. has been for her to grow up in a Godly home.. seeing Jesus.. Day one in the hospital.. I started singing..Jesus Loves ME.. and my prayer is that she loves him, too! That is what I was put on earth for.. to minister to my baby and to be her light in this dark world.. I can only hope and pray.. she calls on Him.. and from day one, that has been the most important duty as a mom.. to do everything I can to do, to be an example for her.. I love her more than life.. but more than that.. I want her to life eternally!! This below video is by Jeremy Camp.. says it all.. Great song.. LOVE it!
Well, the other day Courtney and I took the babies to Priddy Farms Pumkin Patch.. It was so much fun.. and we took lots of GREAT pictures.. Court did a wonderful job!! Here are just a few.. and a college I did for each of us! Then I realized, we did not get one single picture of the two of them!!lol.. oh well, maybe next photoshoot!! Presley is just over 9 months... Carter is 7 months..
ok-- In 3 months I will be having a birthday party!!?? I better get to planning, huh!! Presley's 9 month checkup went great!! She is 19.9 lbs, 28 inches long, with 45 head circ. She is CRAWLING EVERYWHERE!! Loves to look outside at our puppy dogs:) ( Roxy and Daisy) She loves her daddy-- saying dada and hi, but no MOMMY yet :( It is coming, I can just feel it!! She loves eating, and is having table food now... loves chicken, cheese, and gerber puffs are a fav.! Here are just a few pics from this month!
Already????? I just love this little doll to pieces, to the moon and back!!!!! She has brought us such joy in this great 8 months.. but WOW, has it gone by super fast!!!! She is still loving the jumperoo, starting to crawl some, got her 1st tooth and loves to be read to! She is still huge fan of bathtime, and is taking 2 naps per day, eating 3 solids per day, just stopped nursing-- so having 4 bottles a day, and LIFE IS GOOD!
Tonight was a wonderful and emotional night! We had family over before church and at 5:15 we left for pictures with Dr. Gaines and his wife, Donna. As you can see, when taking pics with Presley's cake, she thought she might have a bite:) It was so nice to have family over and enjoy this special day! As we rushed around to get ready and get to church on time, I couldn't help but think how truely important today is-- Teaching Presley God's Word, and living our lives as an example is a huge responsiblity, but WOW, what a honor!! My prayer is that she will learn to love Jesus and others and make choices based on His will and most important to accept HIM as her Savior. I love this little girl with everything in me, but that is a choice that I can't make for her~ As her parents, Matt and I will do our part and continue our journey of constant prayer~ She did great-- and looked like a precious ANGEL!!!!!!!!!

7 months-- Presley and I have had a ton of fun this month.. she really is the sweetest baby-- and so FUNNY! As you can see in the pictures.. her and Mrs. Bear had alot of fun in this months photo shoot-- She is trying to crawl, no teeth yet.. but I can see them under the gums-- which causes random fussiness, eating finger food--such as gerber puffs, loves to go on walks, and hates naptime! She is however sleeping like a champ at night--8:30-8am.. is alright by me!!:) This little girl is the sunshine of my life and I am so blessed to have her and Matthew as my little Sharp family!! WE did take her on her 1st vacation to Hot Springs, Arkansas-- She did great!! It was a very nice 2 day getaway-- pics to come!
