Joy

God has taught me so much in the last few months.. Mainly, how truly blessed I am. I can't imagine my life any different. He brought Matt and I to Ohio for a purpose..a purpose I am now seeing daily. I have made some amazing friends, girls I feel so connected with. I am so encourage by these sweet girls..they are such Godly sweet girls..and there focus it on Jesus..instead of this world..exactly what I needed. At times, this world can look so appealing.. but, it will let you down every single time! That new want or thing never completely satisfies us.. We always want more, nothing is every "good enough." The world tells ya to carry all the worry/stress on yourself instead of leaning on Him. He didn't create us to do it all by ourselves, that's why he desires that personal relationship with us. This is all become so real in my life, and for that I am blessed! I am blessed to have Godly parents, praying I can be the same for Presley.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
I am really for the first time ever, seeing how to have true Joy. I remember back in high school, Dr. Rogers (my pastor at the time) preached a sermon on true Joy.. He said if you put Jesus 1st, Others 2nd, and Yourself last that will = JOY!

I have learned so much through the Ladies Bible Study at church..I have grown leaps and bounds! I am super excited to start the new one in a few weeks!! Here is the one I am leaning towards ( we get to pick from several) Faithful, Abundant, True Bible Study

Other things that are giving me a little piece of Joy at the moment :)

My sweet friend Ashley introduced me to the most amazing candle ever.. Seriously. It is awesome!

What the website says about the scent. See they even said best candle ever. :)

Maple honey.
Grandma used to cure all ailments with her special cup of warm spirits dashed with lemon juice. The best part was the spoonful of maple honey. And does this candle ever cure your senses! Get ready for the best candle ever.

AND a very big thing..I found out my camera isn't broken-- just got set to a custom setting..causing it to not take pics.. YAY.. it does, however need to be cleaned.. but, I can handle that! Don't sweat the small stuff..huh? I was trying so hard to not be upset..and thankfully, it would have been for nothing. I am so proud I didn't let it ruin my holidays :)

Dora's Biggest Fan

Who?
Hmmm..
Let's see, maybe this girl? NO! Not her! :)

Don't ya just love when you living room looks like this..I mean, I should be on the cover of Better Homes :) ( it really makes me happy to have toys everywhere, I know it won't be like this forever)

Christmas in Cincy

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was different, not being home with family..but, it was a nice relaxing time for just the 3 of us. We had Matt 3 days to ourselves, and we LOVED every minute! We went to lunch on Christmas Eve day, then did a little shopping ( although I admit, I wasn't in the mood this year..Matt said go in to Old Navy..and I said No, thanks..what?? Just wasn't in the mood to fight the crowds..and wanted to spend time with him and P) We got to attend our Christmas Eve service at Church ( MCC) which was one of my favorite parts of Christmas..it was amazing! Matt and I really enjoyed it!! Here's a picture of Presley and I about to leave..waiting on Matt ( hate we didn't get one of the 3 of us, Matt looked SO cute! ) Afterwards, we dropped by Blockbuster to pick up the Christmas Carol to watch that night..and came home to a yummy roast with carrots & potatoes waiting for us in the crockpot..( i just LOVE my crockpot, esp. this time of year!!)

She looked so cute.. gosh, she is growing too fast!

Matt reading to Presley after we got home from Church

Poor Matt played Santa, and spend 3 hours putting together Presley's little kitchen..I was his wonderful helper :) I watched, does that count?

Me helping :)

Yay..2am and its finished!!!

Presley seeing her gifts for the first time ( the piano was a gift from Gigi and Papa)

We were invited over to the Deepe family's for Christmas lunch.. which was so nice! Presley played with Ryan's new toys which she loved!
Here are the only pics of the three of us I got..sadly..very sadly, I think my nice DSLR camera is broken..not sure how much it will cost to fix.. so I am using my little camera for now. And trying my best to not let it depress me! I had a wonderful Christmas with my 2 favorite people!

Here is the book we have been reading to Presley everynight ( she loves it) IT is a pop-up book about Jesus' birth. My main goal for Christmas is for her to know the true meaning..we didn't go overboard with gifts..we kept it simple... Spending time as a family was my favorite part.

My sweet husband got me a very cool gift this year.. along with some stocking stuffers..I am the new PROUD owner of this baby!!

We had to order it, but I should have it by Thursday! I am so excited, and grateful!! Matt works so hard, and him allowing me to be home with Presley is the best gift he could ever give me. We for sure make many sacrifices. We don't have $ to spend the way we use to, but, truly.. material things don't last...To be home is priceless! I am one BLESSED wife and mommy!
