Baby Prepared!

So here I sit at 37 weeks pregnant and honestly I think where did the last 37 weeks go? I wont say that they have flown by, but I like to play a trick on my mind called don't think about it, don't think about, don't think about it! You should try it, it works well. BUT, I realized last weekend that I did need a place for this little baby and tried to get all the stuff that you need for a baby ready! So I enlisted the help of Steven to get in the crawl space and grab the bassinet the bouncer, and the girl box of baby cloths so I could wash them all. After a full Saturday of cleaning out my closet, yes now you know why I waited until I was 37 weeks to get ready because it meant I had to clean out my closet!!!, I am proud to show this picture! !

Here we go, I am all ready; my bag is packed, the bassinet is clean and I have a few other things I have thrown in that I think I will need that will be easy to get to once she comes. I think Steven felt like "All I had to do was get three things out for my wife to feel better? Why didn't we do this earlier?" I am not sure, but it's done now!

I also bought a new car seat which I LOVE! My sister borrowed my old one and after five babies I decided that I would just be on the lookout for a new one. I got on Craig's list one night and found this stellar deal! The girl used it for her one child, it looked completely new and she bought all the matching blankets and accessories to go with it! Score for me!

Baby Shower

As if I couldn't be more ready, my best friend Stephanie threw me the best baby shower! Everyone brought me a frozen meal I can make, before or after I have this little thing! Which lets face it they are just as prized right before as after! It was so nice of her and I am so glad I have such great friends around here! I now honestly feel like I am so prepared and all my 36 weeks of slacking I am now glad I didn't freak out about this one! It's been pretty much prefect. I am just now uncomfortable which I guess I should just be thankful is now and not 28 weeks ago!

I love this picture. All my girls and I! I come from a family of three sister and one brother
so there is something sentimental about having the same for my family. (Am I dropping you a hint that she is the last one? If I did I am glad you got my hint!) The girls are very excited to meet her and I have to say that my curiosity has peaked these last few weeks. Since it's been four years since I had Ben I am not sure who else will be coming down and what they are like. I think about having this fourth one and feel like I have a complete family.

First Day of School

I cannot believe that summer is over and school has once again commenced. I woke up at 6:45 today and at 7:00 all three of my children were in my bathroom dressed and ready for their hair to be done (side note; this never happens). Yes, I know even Ben started preschool today. I think out of everyone he was the most excited of them all! Marin entered second grade with little to no worry because she looped with her class, which means, everyone including the teacher moved to second grade as the same class. How lucky was she? VERY! Because her teacher is probably the best in the school and she had great students as well! Samantha was so excited to go to school with Marin that I don't think she could think of much else. I went and ate lunch with the girls and then came back as Mondays I am going to volunteer at their school. So it was a full day of seeing their teacher and me! (It's so nice to live less than a half mile from the school!!) After preschool Ben chattered about the play ground, playdough, singing time, snack time and I am sure is now wondering why I haven't let him go to school before. Samantha got paired with a boy for math time and was less than thrilled about it. This was the only bad note of the day. All in all, it went well and I think they all will be happy to go each morning, exceptions will arise I am sure, but nonetheless, I am glad that this big day is checked off my list for the year!

River Rafting

So Wednesday my family came out and we went river rafting. We had so much fun! I love it when people come and visit me, hint, hint, (although please start your booking now for after Halloween.:)! You would think my children would get bored of going down the Colorado, but they look forward to it every year and I must say I enjoy it too! This year was no different. They kept asking when we were going to go and since this year we didn't go until the second week in August they had to wait until the very end! But I must say it was a great time to go, the water was low which meant no one got too wet aka cold and it was nice and hot out when we went. I might have been a litte crazy for going, but for sure I was even crazyer for getting in a swim suit as pregnant as I am, but honestly, I am not going to kid myself about going early so I am just enjoying myself before the big day. Here are a few pictures from the ride!

AHHHH . . .

Two weeks of swim over and done with! It begins to be a little trying some days to get everyone ready and out the door for more swimming. This year everyone was able to be in their own class without mom. So I just had to go and watch, which was an excellent task for me!:) But, by the second week I was ready to be done, but since we build swimming pools and therefore know how important it is for young children to be able to swim, I take on the challenge of making sure we get there and they actually learn "how" to swim! Ben didn't even really like the water before swim and after he was much more used to it. Sam made great strides and passed the first level! She did great! I put Marin in a challenging class. She worked very hard and her teacher told me by far she was the most imporved! It was a hard class and I was so glad she did her best! It even poored one day last week and I heard no complaints about an hour swim lesson in the pooring rain! Here are to two weeks I am glad are over!!!
