Post-Christmas Utah visit

At the last minute, we decided to go visit our family in Utah after Christmas.  A gentle prompting by dad to come was much appreciated!  It's always nice to feel loved and wanted.  Thanks, dad!

Our first stop was to Provo, Utah where we like to show off the BYU campus to the kids.

This was a funny little trick Cory played on the kids.  He told them to come under the tree with him and then he shook the branches so all the snow fell on top of them!  They were all super mad and ended up crying, but he couldn't resist!

Our funnest activity was tubing in Park City.  It was an absolute blast!

Making snow angels while we wait in line to go up the mountain

The tow rope up to the top

We also had a fun time riding the traxs down to Temple Sqaure to see the Christmas lights.

I'm so glad my parents braved the cold to join us this time!

Nice in warm on the way back from Temple Square.

We are so glad we went to Utah during Christmas break!  Looking forward to doing that again!

Christmas 2012

Christmas was wonderful!  A very busy time of year but very fun to partake in all of our fun traditions, even more so now that the kids are remembering what we do this time of year!

Our pretty Christmas tree with all my favorite ornaments from over the years.  Cory always insists on a real tree.  Our best purchase this month was a remote control to switch the Christmas tree lights on... never knew how easy it could be!

The kids were so excited that we had gifts to put under the tree as soon as the tree was up since Grandma Deb had sent some presents in October.

We met some friends at the giant Christmas tree at Fashion Island this year.

It's one very tall tree with a gazillion lights and ornaments!

Our kids with the Linton kids

This is the best picture, ever!
We were about to take this picture of us and our friends Steve and Heidi and as I reached my hand behind Heidi's back her purse was in the way, so without even realizing it I found my hand resting on her bum.  I was so shocked and ashamed of myself.
Should I be laughing or should I be embarrassed right now?

Dear Santa,
A sewing machine?  Really?
Do you realize that now I have to actually teach her how to use it!?

Grant loved this Star Wars set from Grandma Deb.

Zoey didn't ask for a bike but Santa just knows what she needed!

Disney Cruise/Bahamas part 2

Call me crazy... but I just spent the first half of this month compiling a book via blurb of our trip as a keepsake for my in-laws.  I can hardly wait to give it to them, especially my mother-in-law, but it was grueling work to sort thru pictures, beg and plead for everyones snapshots of our trip.  The benefit, of course, is that I got a copy of all these great pictures that I otherwise wouldn't have!  Thanks to my sister-in-laws for putting up with my nagging.  I am the worst, ever... right!?

Here are some more great pictures of our trip... most of them cooler than mine!

On our way to Orlando

Disney Dream from the port at Nassau

Nassau, Bahamas

Zoey at Fort Fincastle

Laura and Maggie at Atlantis Resort

Cool detail shot of our cruise ship at port at Castaway Cay

Our Cabana at Castaway Cay

Family shot at Castaway Cay atop a lookout point mid bike ride

Cool shot of a beach at Castaway Cay

Maggie was very hesitant swimming in the ocean with real fish around, but here she is finally warming up to it.  I wasn't around, glad my sister-in-law was!

Cool underwater shots of the cousins

One of Zoey's favorite memories of our trip was "riding Ricky-boat".

Grant snorkeled a bit with Cory

A cool shot of our ship showing the overhanging "Aquaduck" waterslide

The Aquaduck was a cruise boat highlight.  Maggie is proud that she rode it 17 times!

Cute picture of the girls playing in the pool

Maggie and Laura underwater

My absolute favorite picture of all time of Grant!

The kids sure did have fun taking pictures of themselves underwater!

Thanks for capturing this cute picture of our family, Julianna!
