Oh March!

Pops and Gem came to visit us early in March. They were anxious to meet their 3rd great grandchild and 1st great granddaughter.  We moved our guest bed away from the wall and to the middle of the room so it would be easier for them to both get in and out. Apparently our futon is not level though and when Pops got on the right side of the bed the whole thing tipped over. And of course instead of helping him, we just snapped pictures.

The boys love walking to the park and Pops was so good to even go down the slides with the boys. We also made a trip to Oklahoma Joe's while they were in town.

Just some fun random pictures. Anytime we bring carseats in the house the boys pretend they are in rocket ships.

Poor Ivy went to the doctor 8-9 times before she was even 2 months old! She got a really awful cold and I was so nervous about her getting RSV. We did steam room at least 2-3 times a day and the boys were so sweet to sit in the steamy bathroom with her while we tried to clear out some of her gunk.
I also found my new favorite baby product! The nose Frieda! It is a miracle worker for sucking those buggies out of those little noses. Ivy didn't even really mind it. When I took her into the Dr. for her awful cough they said she had RSV but because we had kept her sucked out enough her oxygen levels were still good enough that she didn't need to be admitted. So I pretty much swear by the thing! (TJ won't do it though, cause he thinks it is disgusting)

After she was feeling better I caught these smiles on camera!

Cohen and Lexi get cozy while watching a movie.

8 Week old mini photo session for little miss, and of course her cute brothers!

Ivy loved to be swaddled and she only slept sitting slightly propped up in her bouncer or the swing.

Morning Snuggles with these three crazies! We definitely need a bigger bed!!!

Miles of Smiles

My cute boys trying on some glasses while shopping for Dad.

These are her 2 month old pictures. My mom got these cute jammies for her to wear on Valentines Day, but they didn't fit her till she was 2 months old. We are smitten with our little princess.

February 2014

February went by super fast as we adjusted to having a new baby in our house. We spent a lot of time at Drs. appointments and we were lucky enough to have two weeks with Grandma Anderson and a week with Grandpa.
Ivy's cord finally fell off, the boys were so excited that it was finally gone. Especially Ledger, it really bothered him!

Ivy loved being propped up from the beginning. She hated laying flat on her back so she spent a lot of time sleeping in the bouncer or the swing.

I felt so bad this is the only picture I took while my parents were here. The morning after my parents got in Ivy just quit nursing. That resulted in lots of appointments with the Dr/Lactation consultants and me being tied to pumping again. It was awful. Luckily she never stopped latching, she was just too little and not strong enough to get the milk she needed. My dad pretty much took full time care of the boys during the week he was here and my mom helped me with Ivy! They were lifesavers and I'm so glad they were here to help when they were.

More snuggles with Daddy. She loved to be held like this. I'm pretty sure this is how she was in the womb and why I was so much smaller with her than my boys.

 Sleeping like a true Anderson

She loved being swaddled

My friend Lindsay and her family came to visit us on their trek back to Utah. They came the day after my mom left. Ivy finally started nursing the night they were in town which was perfect so I didn't have to hull up in my room as much with the Mr. Breast pump. It was so fun to see them and we wished they could have stayed longer. St. Louis trips will definitely not be the same without them there. Hopefully we will see them when we visit Idaho though!

All of our kids are super close in age. Like within a couple months of each other. Cohen and Lyla.
Luke and Ledger. And now Henry and Ivy!

A  few of my failed attempts at getting a picture of all 3 of my kids together. apparently I was trying to use the flash and my kids with bright flashes do not mix!

This was TJ's favorite pair of jammies to put Ivy in. He loves her in polk a dots. My mom had to go to the store to buy Ivy some newborn clothes. I bought mostly 0-3 since my boys wore newborn stuff for like a week. Ivy was a slow grower though and with nursing troubles on top of that it took her about 4 weeks to get back up to her birthweight. She got a lot more use out of those newborn clothes than my boys ever did.

One month old and her first time to church. This dress was the only one I could find that I liked and it drowned her.

Ivy's one month birthday was also Cohen's half birthday. 4 1/2 and looking sharp! He is such a big helper and an amazing big brother.

Happier wrapped up in her towel. This girl hates to be cold, so she hates to be naked and take baths.

 Comforting his baby sister.

Ledgie wearing my sling. My friend Rebekah made this sling for me and it was a lifesaver. I used it almost everyday. Ivy loved to be held tight so it made it easy to just slip her in and have my hands free to get things done around the house or play with the boys.
