Boy or Girl Bump?

I'm not such a fan of this picture.
I should have done something with myself today -
maybe makeup?? a brush?
But the point is that I go to the doctor on Tuesday, and he said we could make the ultrasound appointment when I'm there for the next week.
SO - in about a week and a half we'll know what's going on in there - testosterone or estrogen.
Make sure to vote which hormone is having it's way.

Lake Visit

Yesterday, Grandma and I took Ellie out to visit Tim's Aunt Brenda and 2 of her girls at their lake cabin on Battle Lake.

Ellie thought she had a butterfly in her hand so Brenda taught her a little about dead clams.

Claire is Brenda's middle daughter. Lee (their youngest daughter) was also there but didn't happen to get into any pictures. :(

I have no idea what Ellie was talking about but I've never caught this action/look/funny thing that she does. So I had to post it for you all to see.

The Hunt

I've started a new job in the last couple weeks at a home health care company but in order to have a job you need to prove you exist. So for a couple weeks I've been trying to prove there's a me. I thought my social security card was still in the cities but it wasn't. So we spent a couple days trying to think of where it could be. We had an "AH HA" moment and went looking for our filing cabinets only to find them locked. Then we spent a day or two looking for the keys...to no avail. So the above picture (cause I couldn't figure out how to get this paragraph above the picture) is Tim breaking into our cabinet.
This is Ellie's response. We laughed because we think she thought he was just laying down on the floor with an invisible pillow, "bankek" and nuk.

And yes, I have proven my existence. I will get paid someday.

And yes, we found the keys a half hour after we destroyed the cabinet.

Ellie's Olympics

Ellie went to back to her daycare in Apple Valley today for
the Shining Stars Daycare Olympics!
Sharon said they did 4 or 5 events and each won the gold metal!
And also got a candy bouquet!
This it the paper torch that each kid made and got to carry around the yard past the flags.
We have made some attempts to convince Sharon to move to FF with us to no avail.
How will we ever find a comparable daycare????

This is...

...us cuddling and watching Dragon Tales.

...Ellie wearing her Great-Great Grandmother's earings.

Clip ons that is...

...the belly comparison.

My sis-in-law is 4 weeks ahead of me. Therefore 4 weeks of more belly.

They'll find out what it is on Tuesday!

Weekend in the Cities

I know it's blurry but it's the face/smile that we are getting these days.
She was pretty excited to be back at G & G Larsen's house for the week.
I think we found our 2008 Christmas Card picture.
We went to Centennial Lakes to play minigolf for my friend Michelle's birthday.
It's on real grass, there's real ducks, a real pond for your ball to fall into, and it's real fun.
If you didn't notice, look again, she's cross-eyed.
And that's a McDonald's happy meal toy doll she's sucking on.

My mom's twin brother, Bill came to town with his wife, Sandi.
We haven't seen them since us Larsen kids were wee kids.
So it was lots of fun to catch up and show off our significant others,
our children and our growing bellies.

Ellie's Baby Practice

Quin and Ellie had a "playdate" to test her baby skills. She did a pretty good job and was fairly gentle although she gave Mommy a heart attack a few times...

6th Anniversary

Well, we've made it 6 years.

6 years of making a home and now making a family.

This year's events were probably the most low-key of the 6.

We started the day by going to the doctor for our 14 week visit. All was well.

Then Tim went to work for a little bit and I went to look for a back massager because I couldn't turn my head in either direction for a few days. I'm starting now to be able to feel somewhat normal, but pretty much the whole day was low-key because I was in pain and uncomfortable nearly every second.

Then we went out for lunch - which ended up being a 22 mile ride to the Pizza Ranch that's only a few miles from our house. We attempted to try Ole & Lena's in Rothsby (sp?) which is 11 miles north of FF. But it was closed to we drove back and settled on Pizza Ranch. Sounds lame but we liked it.

Then we went to a few antique stores and found the picture that's posted here. Tim was looking through a pile of really old pics and started laughing out loud...like REALLY loud. So I went to look. Neither of us had seen anything like it. So it was a $3 dollar treasure that really captured the spirit of our 6th anniversary.

1st day of Church in FF

Here's Tim and Ellie getting ready to go to Bethel for church. This moment looks really innocent and sweet, which it really was...

Our first impression on the nursery staff wasn't as innocent and sweet as this picture. The lady in the nursery was SUPER nice and sweet about it all...here's how it went.

10:15am - Ellie goes potty right before we leave. Exactly what we wanted.

10:30am - We are sitting in church on time and Ellie's quiet.

10:40am - Ellie gets squirmy and we mentioned that Ava would be in the nursery so we had to go "find her, find her, find her, find her..."

10:42am - I go take her in to the nursery trying to figure out all the rules as I'm walking in so that I don't feel stupid asking how to check her in....it goes ok...I explain about the potty training and the SUPER sweet lady says it's fine...no big deal...

11:10am - The buzzer goes off...CRAP she peed.

11:12am - Nope. She pooped in her pants (through the dress) for the very first time EVER.

11:15am - I finish cleaning her and realize we only have shorts for her to wear. The SUPER sweet lady says that topless children in the nursery is no big deal...um, ok...

11:29am - We run the 50 yd dash out to the car like Olympians during the closing song.

We met NO ONE.
We brought home poop in a bag.
Can't get much more fun...

M&M Bump

I think this month's bump is more of an M&M bump than a baby bump.
Ellie gets 2 M&M's whenever she goes potty.
Mommy get M&M's whenever she breathes.

Playing with Cameras

This is the look she gave me when she asked me to take her picture. I can't get over how much she looks like Tim in this one.

This is when she kept taking my picture, so we decided to take one of each other. She didn't get the idea but I got the picture I wanted....
