Having a four year old has been a lot of fun lately.
She has shown us her immense creativity,
her future in babysitting and her ever-expanding silliness.
We're seeing, more and more, what parts of her are REALLY parts of us.
Nothing is more frustrating that explaining to your daughter
why she can't do something, only to have your loving husband giggle and say,
"You do that all the time."
Parenting sure shows you how imperfect you really are...I digress...

These pictures are from a couple Sundays ago.
She came and asked me for one of my spools of thread, and some chopsticks.
Then she came back for one of the polka dots
I was using for something I was making.

When I went to find Ellie, after her calls for help,
I found this set up. This ADORABLE set up.
She had made herself...her very own...

sewing machine - just like Mommy's:

She melted my heart that day, when she came to me
(attempting to yell over my insanely loud sewing machine)
because she needed just a
little help.
So I ran it through my machine really quickly,
and she was instantly beaming.

She had made a hat!
This hat was a gift for one of her best friend's baby sister (due in Feb).
Not sure who was more proud, her or me.
