::WHAAAT?::
K, 2 Owen funnies from recently:
*When I was sick and my joints were hurting SO badly
Owen says: 'Mom...I know what you need to help your knees feel better!'
Me: 'What, sweetie?'
Owen: 'BEER!'
Me: 'whaaat honey?' 'Beer?'
Owen: 'Yeah! Beer! It said on the commercial that beer helps'
Me: *thinking* OMG what kind of advertising is targeting my poor little 5 year old and making him think that alcohol is the cure for aches and pains?
Come to find out...he saw a commercial for BAYER aspirin... *giggle*
And tonight:
Owen: 'Mom...what are genital herpes?'
Me: *mouth agape*
Umm...couldn't even respond to that one except turn OFF the TV.

::Dog Days::
Nope, it isn't hot here (surprisingly) - but every waking moment seems to be devoted to this dog...so I thought this was an appropriate title. Don't get me wrong - she's worth it in EVERY way...just a lot of work! I snapped this shot the other day...Avery and Owen ADORE the puppy. She's growing like I've been feeding her steroids.
She knows 'sit' 'stay' 'high five' 'come' 'roll over' 'lay down' and we're working on 'NO BITE.' LOL! She has a toilet paper fetish and unrolled 3 rolls just today. I bought her a little kiddie wading pool so she can go for a dip in the backyard and she LOVES it. Hoping that the pool curbs her craving to swim in her water bowl.

As for me, today is the FIRST day in nearly 2 weeks that I feel remotely human. I wouldn't wish campylobacter on my worst enemy. nasty nasty stuff. I took the kids to see Shrek 3 today (or as owen says, "Shrek tha fird")- and they did WELL! I was really nervous taking them both by myself as movies are usually interspersed with at least 5 potty breaks between the 2 kids. Great time though - no meltdowns and no potty breaks till after the movie!
Over n' out!

WANTED - Carmine 'The Campylobacter Crippler' Chicken
Suspected in the poisoning of Taran Conyers, aka tkWhimsy.
Take precautions - chicken is armed and dangerous and hasn't taken his medication
__________________________________________________________________________________The evil evil chicken pictured above put me in the hospital for 3 days! I 'got sprung' yesterday morning but still feel pretty terrible. Apparently, I got food poisoning from 'campylobacter' bacteria - usually caused by improper handling of chicken. I'm a total freak when it comes to cooking chicken and disinfecting stuff - and nobody else in my family got sick so I'm pretty sure it's not from something I cooked. This stuff is AWFUL. It hit me on Sunday night - felt perfectly fine and then 5 minutes later I'm *S*I*C*K - I mean, crying sick. Bill kept trying to convince me to go to the ER but it was a holiday weekend and I thought it was just the flu. Well, fast forward till Tuesday - I've lost 10 lbs, am dehydrated badly and have abdominal pain so bad that I can hardly stand it. So they threw me into the hospital (at least I got a suite since I'm a hospital employee...). First they thought appendicitis...then possibly Chron's disease. I got a LOVELY colonoscopy and they found my intestines were all ulcerated (yeah, I know...way more personal information than you wanted eh?). So I'm home now - still feeling 'iffy' but at least in my own space and nobody poking or prodding me to get blood (unless you count the puppy who playfully bit my EYE last night and left a nice big gash..*sniff* why not pour some lemon juice on it?) Hopefully it won't take me too much longer to get back into the groove...but I just wanted to let ya'll know where I've been.TRY THIS....it's HYSTERICAL
