Another movie watcher

Well it looks like we have another movie watcher in the house...Many nights we will head downstairs to our theater room and watch a movie. Well Beckam was a bit fussy one night and we were getting ready to watch a movie. As soon as we started the movie his eyes were glued. it was too cute to watch him and his sister. They must get this from their dad. Tim loves to watch movies and is so good at zoning in... :-)

2 months

We went in for Beckam's 2 month appt today. He weighed 12 pounds 11 ounces and was 23.5 inches long. He is in the 70% for both. He is a big boy and just continues to GROW!! He began eating about 6 ounces every 4 to 5 hours at about 5 weeks....but that means he also began sleeping through the night and he is a GREAT sleeper!! Once again, we lucked out! And a sleeping baby makes for better parents! He has really started to respond too, he smiles and coos. In fact while we were at the doctors Payton was sick (another post) and while I was helping the nurse swab her throat, my pediatrician was holding Beckam...what a guy!! He sat and smiled and talked to the pediatrician.

A visit to Papa Erv's and Grandma Peggy's

While I was watching Rian I went out and picked her up from Papa Erv's house. Well needless to say we spent the whole day there and had a GREAT time. My Grandpa Erv LOVES the kids! He had his hands washed and was on the floor before I even had Beckam out of his car seat. The girls had a great time "scaring" Papa Erv. Here are a few photos that I took with my cell phone...

little mommies

I watched Rian and Reily, my sisters kids, this past week while Karen, our daycare lady, is out of town. We had a fun time!! They were pretty good for me...for the most part :-). My favorite was this photo...Payton and Rian were trying to give Beckam the binkie and he kept spitting it out. Well they thought that was sooooooo funny and they were giggling up a storm. It was soooo cute!

Here are a few other cute photos from the week....

Year in review...

So it has been a while and I have had this in my edits...just have not been blogging lately :-)

2008 was a very good year for us! We feel very grateful for all of our many blessings that we have in our life!

January started off with spending time with family and my birthday! ha ha We actually started our food storage and have done quite a bit ;-) this past year.

In February we got hit hard with snow and made the best of it!! This was Payton's first experience and I am not sure that she liked it at first. Luckily we have two great neighbors with 4 wheelers and blades and so Tim has been thankful thus far!

In March I started to travel a bit more....thank heavens for Tim! He is the best daddy and hubby ever! He does so well with Payton. Yes she may eat a few more chicken nuggets than normal and watch a few more movies but she is entertained the whole time. She loves her daddy!! I did get to go to Palm Springs and watch some great tennis matches, it was fabulous!!

In April we spent some time in St. George. My mom and dad have a home there and it is WONDERFUL!! I love going to St. George to get away :-)

In May, Payton announced to the family that she was going to be a big sister! We were so excited to find out that we were having another one...and this time the store bought test worked :-) (We took 2 with Payton and they both came back negative)

We did a little swimming in the pool in June and we found out that Payton is a Polar bear!! She would sit and pour the hose on her. It was a crack up! We also got to start taking care of a yard...yea, not so fun :-)

In July Tim and I headed off to Cabo, courtesy of USANA! I really do have the BEST job :-) We went to hang out with some contest winners and had an absolute great time! The resort was spectacular and right on the beach. Tim got to enjoy some wave running in the ocean and had a ball. The water was a bit rough so I didn't venture in since I was a little too pregnant. It was a great time!

August was a bit sad at the Truman household as the Z's went up for sale. Tim finally came out of his midlife crisis and grew up a bit....oh but don't you worry...he has picked up a new hobby...GUNS. Oh! and Payton got her 1st bike!!

In September Tim & I celebrated 5 years together! It was a wonderful day for us! I laugh when I look back on the amazing 5 years that we have had. And on that note the other 15 that we have dated! It has been fun to look back on all of the many memories that we have with eachother. Years of knowing eachother, dating on and off for 16 years, being engaged twice, and 2 kids later here we are. I am looking forward to many more years to come!

In October we celebrated Payton's 2nd birthday! We are so amazed that she is 2 already and yet can't remember life without her. She is truly a gem and has such a cute personality. It has been so fun to watch her grow and talk! The things she comes up with are absolutely amazing!

In November we welcomed our sweet little Beckam! What an absolute joy he is. It has been so fun to have a little boy around and enjoy the differences between him and his sister. I have also enjoyed watching Payton with him. She loves him so much and is always so concerned for him. It is so sweet!

December was a great month! I have been on maternity leave and totally loving the time with Payton and Beckam! Tim also had quite a bit of time off in December which was so great to spend time as a family. We spent a lot of time with our immediate families as well, which I love!

All in all it was a wonderful year for us and we are hoping for another great year in 2009! Wishing you all the best in the new year as well!!

Beckam's blessing

Yesterday we had Beckam's baby blessing. Tim did a wonderful job on the blessing and it was pretty neat that there was 4 generations of Truman's. Here is Beckam, Tim, his dad and his Grandpa Ervin.

The day started out with Beckam spitting up all over Grandma, like father like son. I guess the day of Tim's blessing he spit up all over his mom. Sorry Claudette...after that we had a deer visit us in our backyard and then walk by my car window right as we were leaving for the church. Then as we got there poor Payton was on fire with a fever and slept on my lap the entire time.

But it was a beautiful day! and we were glad that Tim's family was in town and were able to join us!! And also that the Pratt's could be there. Thanks guys!!
