Easter 2012
We had a great Easter this year. With the exception of Tod having to work. The boys made our first traditional Easter cake, dyed eggs, did the Easter egg hunt, got baskets full of candy and some new sweatshirts, these magnet super hero things from Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins, and went to church. Here are some pictures of the holiday weekend!
Ready for church! I've been trying to teach them the real reason we celebrate Easter. That the Savior was resurrected. But that led to a lot more questions I wasn't sure how to explain. But at least we talked about it! :)
Carson's Batman Lego set!
Payton with his Lego set!

Our favorite dyed eggs!
Dying eggs! NO Shirts of course. Tod did come home for lunch and got to help and enjoy the mess it made!
Payton with is name egg.
Carson's name egg!
Yummy Easter Cake. Chocolate cake, buttercream frosting with green coconut, jelly beans, and peeps! Yummy! Fun!
Dying eggs...
(sorry that's out of order)
How many did you get?
Carson got more than Payton.
Waiting to start the hunt.
It was a great weekend. We had to have our Easter dinner on Saturday night so Tod could be home to eat it! Tod's parents came and stayed the night too. It was a fun weekend! So glad we could celebrate with family and we are so grateful for the Savior's sacrifice and resurrection. For without it we would not be able to live with our Heavenly Father again.

Temple Square Trip (December 2011)
This December Payton, Carson, and I went to Salt Lake Temple Square with my sister in law Camille and her family. We had a great time, even though it was pretty cold and I had a cough. Here are some pictures I took with my new Sony NEX-5N camera! I love it, its fun and easy to use and pretty compact ;)

Bowling!!
We have the boys in a bowing league!! Payton goes Monday's after school. Carson goes Tuesday's and get's lunch too! They love it and they are actually really good. Better than me, that's for sure! Their high scores are Payton 93 and Carson 98! We are enjoying all the fun activities Rock Springs has to offer! :)
Payton waiting for his turn!
Payton going for a strike!
Another one of Payton!

Carson with his "My First 50 Game" patch.
They both have also earned "My First 75 Game" patches as well!
Carson rolling it down the lane!
Carson's ball is pretty heavy, and seem really big,
but he does it all by himself!

1st Day of Kindergarten!
Today was the first day of school for Payton! I can't believe I am the mother of a Kindergartner! It's crazy to think how life changes when your kids enter the school years. He was so excited this morning and I was really surprised he didn't cry or get upset. He loved it. They had sandwiches for lunch today and chocolate milk. He said tomorrow they are having chicken nuggets :) He learned about listening today, and colored a picture of that. They also made hats. I asked him if he made any friends, and he said, not yet. I asked who did you play with at recess? He said he didn't know their names. He's so funny. I'm so proud of my little man, he's getting so old and it scares me and Tod. We don't want him to grow up ;)
And just a little update about living in Rock Springs. I actually really love it. Before school started we went swimming in the pool at our apartments every day for a couple of hours. It was like we had our own pool because no one else was there. I haven't noticed the wind too much and the weather has been great. I know that fall is coming though and we're sad to loose the warmth, but we're pretty used to the cold winters. Star Valley and Cache Valley don't have mild winters by anyone's standard. I'm finding my way around pretty good and that makes it better. I don't feel lost anymore and having to flip U turns all the time. One thing that sucks is that is seems the groceries are super expensive. I think that might just be a national hike in prices though. But at Wal-Mart 12 packs of soda were like $4.60 or something, crazy. So we went to Smith's they had a 4 for $10. I think we'll stick to shopping the weekly ad from now on. Other wise I'd be spending $100+ every week at Wal-mart. Anyway we're adjusting. We do miss our neighbors, ward members, and friends in Hyrum, but we are meeting new people here who are just as nice. The ward is super nice and welcoming. I'm glad Tod gets to come this week because he's on his six days off.
We are celebrating Carson's 4th birthday on Saturday. Tod will be working on his actual birthday on the 18th. So Tod's parents are coming here and we're having lunch at Applebee's and of course cake and ice cream. Carson wanted an Iron Man cake so my mother in law, Jill, is in charge of that! I'll get some pictures posted soon of our new apartment and of course Carson's birthday. I need to get some of Payton's birthday up too, but they are all on my father in law's camera. Until I post again... <3 Emily

Payton sitting at his table, the black thing is the hat's they were going to make.

That sweet smile :)

The grimace :(

All ready to go!
This is outside our apartment, it's kind of a pretty view I'd say :)
Rock Springs might just be growing on us!
