Max and Cheese...

This afternoon DeeAnn introduced us to this fun little restaurant down in Orem called Max & Cheese. It is officially my new favorite place to take the kids to eat! The whole restaurant is really geared towards kids. They have a play area right in the middle of the tables for the kids to play while they wait for their food. Unlike the nasty stuff you have to suffer through at Chuck E. Cheese, this place has great kid food AND grown up food. Lily and Owen shared the cheesy noodles with a hot dog octopus on top. I had a delicious turkey avocado sandwich on sourdough bread. DeeAnn's pasta looked good too. I got a big kick out of the fact that they served the kids meal in a little dog dish and that they had things like "puppy mix" (a mixture of grapes, cheese cubes, and goldfish) on the menu. Lily and Owen had a great time playing with all the toys. Lily was having so much fun that she could barely stop to eat. I didn't mind too much because I actually got to enjoy my sandwich in peace. We will defintely be going back to this place soon!

P.S. Pam, the picture of the hot dog octopus is just for you!

Two little monkeys...

Two little monkeys jumping on the bed
One looked in Momma’s drawer and found something red
Momma called the Daddy and the Daddy said..
“No more little monkeys jumping on the bed (in lingerie!)”

Boys Night...

A.K.A. Fantasy Football Live Draft Party. Todd has been looking forward to this for weeks, possibly months. I didn't think it was possible, but our neighbor loves Fantasy Football as much as Todd does (and that is a lot!!). Brandon set up a neighborhood league and every year they have a live draft party where they pick their teams. It is pretty entertaining to watch these guys plan their boys night. Brandon even made a giant banner that stretched across the street so that everyone knew about the party! They got together and ate "man food". I didn't know what that meant, but apparently it involves crawdads and a bunch of soda! After the food, they got down to business. It took them a couple of hours to draft their teams and now they are ready for football season to start and the friendly competition to get going. Since Todd was so excited, I had to get a picture of him on his big day, in his Chargers shirt, of course...

And here is the trophy that has been proudly displayed in our family room all year. It is cute that all the other guys think they have a chance at it, but we all know it is staying right here!!
