Goodbye 2015...

Our pictures with Santa turned out pretty cute!

Now the day after Christmas was finally time to potty train! I had Tyce and Eli done right after they turned 2, but the timing just never seemed right for Grant.  We had too many vacations planned or needed babysitters, etc. I finally looked at the calendar and decided the weekend after Christmas would work.  So we threw the diapers away and put on our big boy Minion undies and followed Grant around everywhere.  He really did awesome!  He didn't have any accidents by the third day and  we started venturing out of the house again.  He has woken up at night and from naps dry too!  It's been a week and I think he's got it!  Way to go, Grant!!

 And hello 2016!

Santa Came!

Yep, the boys have been good this past year because Santa Claus did indeed stop by.  Ethan informed me of this around 3:30am. The rule is: you can look in your stocking but you can't touch anything else until everyone wakes up.  It works out pretty well.  This year, there were Kindle Fires near each stocking so that was pretty awesome!  Ethan went back to bed and we finally got up a little before 8.  We let Grant sleep in and he didn't open his presents until almost 10am.

Everyone was pretty happy with their loot.  Ethan received a new bike, a lego set, kindle fire and Avengers decal for his room.  Eli got lego dinosaurs, a lego set, kindle fire, and Iron Man night light.  Tyce received a Z-tek bow, lego set, kindle fire, and Avengers race cars.  Grant got a new train, magnetic blocks, kindle fire, and race car set.  The family also got an X box One, extra remotes, some X Box games and chairs.  The older three kids also got ski lessons which start in January.  Overall, this was a really wonderful Christmas! Our only goal for the day was to stay in our pj's, play with new stuff, and eat candy from our stockings all day long.  We accomplished that with flying colors!

Christmas Eve 2015

I love seeing the cute homemade gifts the boys bring home from school for us.  I opened them on Christmas Eve because they insisted.  So sweet...

One of my favorite traditions: The boys draw names and go shopping for a gift for each other (usually the FHE before Christmas).  They get to open the gift from their brother the morning of Christmas Eve.  This has been a win-win for everyone! They have something new to play with and pass the time.  I am able to spend the morning cooking in the kitchen while daddy usually works a half day.  It's perfect!

After a delicious Christmas Eve feast at Jason and Amelia's house (some neighbors came too)... It was time to open Christmas pjs! Let the chaos ensue...

We then rounded up the troops to act out our annual puppet nativity and sing a few Christmas carols. Of course there was wrestling afterwards.

The kids were tucked in bed around 8:30pm. It appears that Santa came sometime during the night... complete with gifts and a letter just for us!
