Fall 2011

We officially have a walker! Evie took her first steps October 23rd but she's just now walking everywhere she goes! I love watching her toddle around...

Playing in the ballpit at S's party. The babies love balls!
Just walking around the house with daddy :)
Halloween was super fun, our little clown had a great time!
Helping Gram sort through her tupperware drawer.
Riding the Great Pumpkin Express Train on our way to Charlie Browns pumpkin patch.
Butterfly garden birthday party, in the balls of course.

Evie is 13 months, walking, talking (well, sort of) and keeping us busy! So excited about the holiday season and getting to see lots of friends and family in the upcoming weeks!!

Evelyn Marie's First Year

My ONE year old

Happy 1st Birthday to our darling girl! I couldn't resist blowing up her birthday gift a few days before her birthday. She has had so much fun in this thing!
And then this is what we did on her actual birthday...
My poor girl came down with the stomach bug that is making it's way around Tyler two days before her birthday. I hadn't planned a big party but we did have to cancel our family birthday dinner and a birthday playdate. She was pretty pitiful for about three days. Tom and I caught the bug too, it was a rough week.

Birthday re-do to come soon!

Summer 2011

We had a great summer at the Lambert house. By the time summer started, Evie was busy crawling, babbling, and eating "real food". Well, we're pretty much still doing those same things :) She's totally on table food now and off of the bottle completely. She will stand for a few seconds on her own and will walk as long as you're holding her hand but no independent walking yet. Her vocabulary consists of ma-ma, daddy, doggie, hi, bye bye, night night and duck. My favorite thing she's doing now is looking at us and saying night-night when she is ready to be put to bed. So sweet. She is super friendly and waves and says hi to everyone we come across during our day. She LOVED being in the water this summer! Loved the pool, beach, lake, bathtub...pretty much any body of water :)

Spending time with family during my brother's wedding weekend in July.
Hanging by the pool.

We finished off the season with a trip to Destin in September. It was a GREAT vacation and a perfect first trip to the beach for our girl.

Enjoying dinner at Sandestin.
Loving the sand.
She wanted to be IN the water all the time.
Our sweet beach bum :)

6-7 Months

We have had a great Spring and start to the Summer with our sweet girl.
My mom hosted a sip and see to show off sweet Evie to all her friends, this was the only pic we got from the party. E was wonderful during the party, she was talkative and super easy going as she was passed around for 2 hours!
Just chillin in the yard enjoying the beautiful weather we had late Spring. She uses her pacifier as a teether these days :) And she also has mastered sitting up! That happened at about 5 1/2 months old.
We bought a little place on a small lake near town, we enjoyed sitting on the deck before it got so hot. E loves being outside!
Easter was great, E slept on me all through Big Church and then we headed to my aunt and uncles' for a great Easter lunch.
Melissa graduated with her Masters in May, it was freezing in Fayetteville that weekend but we had a great time. These two babies were a hoot together.
I had the cutest outfit picked out for E on graduation day. Of course with it being 45 degrees I had to improvise. She is wearing pretty much every piece of clothing I brought.
E and I go to music class once a week. Sounds silly but it's really fun! This is her eating the shaker rather than playing it. But she's improved her skills since this was taken about a month ago ;)

That pretty much sums up the last few months. Evie has mastered sitting up, army crawling, using her forefinger and thumb to pick up small objects, sitting from a laying position and standing in her crib. Not really pulling up on anything else yet. We have so much fun together everyday,
life is good!

5-6 months

Evie will be 6 months old on the 12th. I have to keep counting the months because it's so hard to believe she's been here for half a year! She is rolling from front to back, back to front, and sitting up all by herself. We still love the exersaucer...

And she's recently started really jumping in the jumparoo :) We started solid foods about a month ago. I looked into making my own baby food and quickly realized it's for the birds. So we're on formula and store bought baby food. Mother of the year right here ;)

Evie is super fun and interactive, always chewing on her toes and "talking".

Her hair is fine and fluffy, just like her dad's, and has a strawberry tint in some light.

She typically takes three naps per day, a big morning one and two shorter naps in the afternoon. She's really good about going to bed, we just lay her on her tummy (again, mother of the year) and she typically goes to sleep no problem.

Nothing else really to report. Really looking forward to summer and some fun weekends we have planned!

3-4 Months Old

It has been amazing to watch this baby girl girl change so much in the last few months. She is a few days shy of 4 months old and is so much fun. Our days consist of exersaucer time, tummy play, a trip to target, BRU, or the grocery store. And the dry cleaners once a week. She generally sleeps 11-12 hours a night straight through. Every now and then we'll have a weird up at 4 AM night but those are few and far between. She usually has 4 naps 30 min - 1 hour long per day.

Evie is eating three 8 oz bottles per day plus 2-4 oz right before bed. Not sure if this is normal?? All I know is if you try and only feed her 6 oz per feeding she is NOT happy. And she lets you hear all about it.

She only cries when she is hungry or tired so we can usually figure out what she needs pretty quickly. Her "angels kiss" birth mark on her forehead is still relatively dark but becoming more splotchy. It should disappear by her first birthday but who knows.

Life in general is pretty good, aside from a couple of kidney stones I passed last week (ouch). I try to get out of the house most days but it doesn't always happen. And this weather sure isn't helping. I am 6 pounds away from my pre pregnancy weight which I'm pretty pleased with. Still not looking forward to bathing suite season though.

Evie's Christening was this past weekend in Fort Smith. It was the same church I was baptized in when I was a baby. Pretty special. We had a beautiful little service and lunch with great friends and family. I will post pics (thank you Heidi!) soon!

Just a few pics of the last couple months...

We LOVE our exersaucer!!
