Weekend in the MUD

(these pics are in no particular order)

Tommy ran a 15k two weeks ago. Poor guy, he had to cross four rivers up to his hips, claw up two incredibly muddy hills while people coming the opposite direction were sliding down and make his way over thick tree trunks and of all things to think of a tire-obstacle course. He had the time of his life and loved it.

It was snowing and nose dripping damp out there. But Lydia was going hog wild (fyi the theme was pigs for this race) we had such of fun time, we will for sure be there next year!

Here's some pics: a faux pig head being blasted into the air...start of the race mechanism, Tom lost in the crowd before starting and yes, it is snowing; Tom bringing in a time of 1.2 hours-not bad for 9 crazy miles;everyone enjoying the after race festivities (consessions, live entertainment this guy has been here every year for who knows how long with his wife playing the key board, and just happy to be done smiling faces). This guy is from Jersey and ran with Tom, currently he is dancing to Sweet Caroline.

Sorry guys

Hey, I didn't realize that the posts would show new to old. So, now the story pictures are from the end to the begining instead of what I thought it would go. To get the whole delaware trip go to the end of the page, click on old posts. That will send you to the first page, scroll down to start from the begining. Sorry about the inconvience!

Fun cont

whew, what a laugh

home at last

The kids in bed, tuckered right out. I'm so glad we're all back home. But wait...AIN'T WE GOT FUN? With Tom, it's always a party

The Beach

Well we made it to the beach for the second time. It was incredible fun watching Lydia interact with the waves and sand. I LOVE THE BEACH!!!! FYI, the video is very shakey.

A moment

Speaking of precious....two of the most precious things I have the opportunity to love.

At the Warf

Alright, here is a very unique ship. It is a light house boat. Used like a light house on the water. I think it is the only one of it's kind and currently not sea worthy. Infact, it was in such bad repair the current owners have spent over a million dollars just to restore some of it's beauty. In the peak season you can tour it, but we just get the luxury of standing out in the cold. As you can see not many people out this time of year.
Isn't Lydia and her dad precious?

3 mile bog fest

Bright and early the next day we took a 3 mile nature trail around Cape Henlopen's Nature Park. As you can see it was very wet, I am actually balancing on a log. At one point I thought we should go back, but Tom, our fearless leader, actually carried Lyddie and the jogger across a completely flodded trail with nothing but dammed up logs to pass on.

Swimming Pool

When we got there we went for a walk, but mostly went straight to the swimming pool. Who wants to see the sights when the Hotel offers a swimming pool?! OR maybe they don't, but we still wanted to go swimming, so we did. A little crowded, but still we made some waves. Even Paul was ready for a wet and wild time!
Ps I also participated in the swimming event but someone had to take the picture

Aint We Got Fun

Our Spring Break was full of memories even if we had no money to spend. I learned a special quote from the Blackfoot State Fair that I love, "AINT WE GOT FUN!". Well, we sure do. Enjoy these pics in the order we incurred these fun events.
First off, traveling... a peaceful two hour car ride. I was ecstatic, apparently so was tom, or maybe he hates the camera in his face

Mama's Little Helper

If you ever wonder what my day is like, you've found it in these pictures. The left picture is a pretty candid shot of her caught red handed. Then next is learning the responsibility that comes with knowledge. Luckily for me I've found a new DISHWASHER! Yes, she has now found out what a chair is "really" used for and how to "moo it".

Little Man

Here's our little guy. He's now 3 months old. Isn't that just adorable. Makes you want to pinch those fat cheeks....yes, I am that kind of Aunt. Even though the sun is out it's still winter here, still gotta bundle up!

blogging world

hey guys, so I'm a little new at this, but this is officially our new family blog. Hopefully I can figure out the whole picture thing so you all can see what we're up to.
