February 20, 2011 Chloé's 3 Birthday

This week has been FUN. WE have made lot of presents for Chloé and have been having a load of fun.

On Valentines day (Valentimes if Chloé is speaking) we decorated cookies with friends and had a party. Chloé has a particular style consisting of heaping sprinkles and anything else she can get her hands on in one mound in the center of any cookie.

REX! He is getting so big and standing and grabbing. His new favorite thing is the stove. He can see his refection and tries to turn on the gas. SCARY!

So last week Mike saw Chloé running around naked.

Mike stated "Chloé, you're naked"

Chloé replied "That's how we roll."

These are the felt animals and barn I made for Chloé's birthday. I think they turned out cute. Thanks for the idea Jamie! They took lots of time but I think they will be fun in Church!

February 13, 2011 Antlers

We went to the Central Seattle Library. The building is AMAZING. We went to the 10th floor and looked down through the whole Library and out over Seattle through the glass exterior. It was so architecturally interesting.

We were in the elevator going up and an older gentleman walks in and has arm crutches. He can clearly see Chloé eying him. He turns to her and taps his knee and says "I have bad knees."

Chloé looked at his an replied "Well, I have good knees."

It was so cute. Luckily, he just laughed with us and wasn't offended.

Also this week, I was up feeding Rex and then we hung out in bed. Dri walked in a while later. I inquired where Chloé location was. I was informed Dri was not accompanied by Chloé. I ran down stairs and found

Chloé at the kitchen table with sticky fingers and an empty rice crispy pan. I asked Chloé if she had eaten all the rice crispies? She retorted there was only one left. The size of the one left was never mentioned.

One day at dinner about a month or so ago Chloé blurted out antlers and put her hands to her head. She looked around expecting everyone else to join. Antlers has kind of stuck, so every now and then someone will say "antlers" and then everyone joins. Rex at times instigates and is so proud of himself... Antlers. You may do it with only one hand if needs be.

Rex is the ruler of the stairs. He crawls up all the time. He is becoming more interested in sticking his hand in the toilet and has his teeth coming in more every day.

He is a huge fan of pick-a-boo. He has been instigating games frequently.

First time...

Ok, so mostly at Jamie's prodding I am beginning to blog. I wanted to keep a family journal so...Here we go.

Yesterday I was so sick of Chloés hair being EVERYWHERE that I cut it. I think short hair suits her.

Rex has been crawling...all over the place. It has been fun to see him turn into a little trouble maker. Wonder where he gets that from?

If that isn't the happiest smile you've ever seen.

probably because he has so much lunch left on his shirt.
