I’m pretty awesome. Seriously.
Essential info:
I’m 25 and in the past 3 years, I have had 3 very different teaching experiences. This year I am teaching at a Catholic school in New York. Each day I teach 6th grade math, 7th grade math, 8th grade math, Integrated Algebra (9th grade math for my 8th grade math nerds), 6th grade science/health and 7th grade science/health. If you were counting, that is 6 different classes each day!
The previous year, at the same school, I taught grades 6-8 Math and grades 6-8 Social Studies. My first year teaching, I taught 6th grade Earth Science at an awesome charter school in Central Pennsylvania.
To top off the math and science overload, I have my M. Ed in Literacy. I love reading. I love teaching reading skills. I wish there was room in my current schedule to squeeze in a little ELA instruction 🙂
In the past 6 years, at various points, I have called Long Island, NE Ohio, Philadelphia area, NW Ohio and Central Pennsylvania home.
I love all things related to: reading, skinny jeans, dresses with pockets, math, family, paper, jogging, education, nail polish, social justice, historical adventures, words, headbands, ice coffee, surprises, being a bridesmaid almost as many times as Katherine Heigl in 27 Dresses, and mini cupcakes.
I guess the real purpose of this blog is to share my lessons and activities I create (okay and maybe steal from my favorite education blogs). You may also find me rambling on about various topics, including but not limited to: fashion, best friends, funny kids stories, how to wear skirts to school everyday and pretend you’re not cold, my main man, D, my other main man, Theodore Roosevelt, pretty items I love, paper+crafts, and inspiration.
