It's been a few years now since I've done a big event. But this weekend was extra special because I had the honor of setting up for my Goddaughter's wedding shower. This is me that morning before heading to set up the venue.
Although this is a great idea we never actually got a chance to play the ring game.
Oh well, maybe next time. LOL
I had a bird cage for guest to put cards in, and we had several games planned for the event so we placed the prizes in these cute pink bags which surprisingly I was able to pick up from the Dollar Tree Store.
We had several guest who would be unable to sit in the tall chairs that the restaurant has, so thankfully the staff at the Grain were accommodating and provided chairs for the grandmothers and one of the brides aunts. My 80 plus year old aunt who is the brides grandmother was in attendance. Doesn't she look sharp in her white coat?
If you have been a part of my blog for a while you may recognize a few of the items used on the table. The pink flowers and the pink sashes were used at my daughters wedding and bridal shower. When my cousin asked me to create a "Springtime in Paris" themed party I immediately thought of the last Paris themed party I did for a friend who's daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday. So I was able to use the Eiffel Tower statues and name tags from that party this time around.
The restaurant added that extra touch when they brought out the wine bottles (filled with water) and placed them on the table. I don't drink but I may have to ask some of my friends to save me some empty bottles because to me they helped to finish the tablescape. LOL
We had awesome views of the city from the top of the hotels restaurant.
The gifts that each guest went away with was a special designed cookie and a pair of pink heart shaped sunglasses which we used when we all took a group photo together.
We contacted a local baker that my daughter had used in the past to make speciality cookies for her birthday. She did such a good job of caring out our theme.
My family! My Goddaughter and I, and her with her mom and sister.
The prizes for the games were "spa" themed. It included a small tube of lotion, a shower bomb and a lip gloss. Each guest received a cookie and a pair of shades.
