How is it possible...
How is it possible that my children are getting older and I am still the same age I have always been? Well, not "have always been", but I don't feel older than I did when I was in my thirties... and forties maybe.
Our youngest is now (finally) out of her teens!! Yeah!! The black years are behind us finally and we are all ready to move on to the next stage. It is a joy to see Carly progress and discover who she really is and who she wants to become. Which is a Wildlife Biologist or something like that.
Carly is going to college up at Central Oregon Community College and is also working parttime at the same office where I work. She is doing AWESOME and really seems to be enjoying the student life. It is taking her awhile to realize that she is smart and is capable of learning and retaining what she has learned. Her grades are reflecting her hard work. In time she will have a strong belief in herself and then the sky will be the limit.
Her Dad and I are very proud of her!!!!!
And so... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARLY!!! You cutie putie.

Monday Morning Blues
Yep, it's Monday morning and I am where I am every Monday morning....at work sitting in front of my computer. In a way it is a comfort coming into work every day, it is almost a home away from home. But not quite...
Working at a job that you like and are comfortable with is a good thing, however, I am at a point in my life where I need a creative output. And so besides practicing my Reiki I have ventured out and started creating wire jewelry. It is something that doesn't take up too much space and I can do it when I have a little time to myself (when I "make" time for myself). Perhaps one day when I feel like I am good at it, I want to venture out a little further and sell my jewelry pieces.
I have added a few pictures of my first creations. I will look back on these pieces a few months from now and see all of my mistakes and/or things I would have differently. That's a good thing, because it is hard to critque your own stuff.
So if anyone is reading my blog, please leave me your comments, letting my know what you really think about my jewelry making skills.

Everything begins with the first action
Well, here I am writing my first blog entry. It's a bit overwhelming, but I know I can do this.
You may be wondering why I choose Tree's Spot as my blog name (you may not be wondering at all, but I'm going to explain anyway)... Since my name is Terisa and is pronounced "Treesa", my husband and close family members call me "Tree". There it is; the mystery is solved.
But I like the nickname because I have always loved trees. Hey, it sounds corny but it is the truth.
Each individual tree has such history built inside of them, especially the older trees that have been around for centuries. Can you imagine what they have seen and experienced in all of those years? It is amazing! If only they could talk, what stories they would share.
I can feel their spirits when I am close to them or reach out and touch them. I have read about a man that does Reiki on trees. He is hired by people that have sick trees and he goes to the tree and tries to heal it with his Reiki. I also do Reiki but haven't done it on trees, yet. I put the word yet at the end of that sentence because I have been thinking about doing Reiki on the tree in our front yard that my husband just pruned. Instead of just thinking about it I will do it tomorrow morning. The tree will appreciate it, I'm sure...
