Andrew turned 22 on May 6 and Ryan was 28 on May 16. My neice Paige also got married on Saturday to a wonderful man that loves her dearly. Our great friends - the Charlotte Crew came in Thursday for the wedding. Matt is now also known as a part of the Charlotte Crew - so far. :=). It was a very busy weekend and with the rain on Sunday, it was kind of a laid back day. We did have dinner at Me Me's Sunday night and ate the fish that "Gary" caught. Of course we don't have any pictures to show for it.......so I think Richard caught them and they all agreed to say Gary caught them.

30 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Wow, today Rob and I have been married 30 years. I was almost 22 and Rob 24. May 5, 1979, the bridesmaids dresses were different and even the way the whole wedding thing was done. Seems so simple then. I hope I am married for another 30 years. Yes, there is ups and downs but we seem to be able to speak our piece and move on.
If I gave any advice to anyone, it would be communicate, speak your mind, but always listen with an open mind. (It helps when you receive very nice gifts!)
Love you Rob.......

Beautiful Day

Such a beautiful day after a long week. Phil's stepfather and my friend passed away on Easter Sunday. When I started working at Parris Island almost 30 years ago, Ray Love was the comptroller. Terrific man, very smart and never had an ill word to say about anyone. Don't we wish we could all be like that. Ray had retired from the Army and the young Army personnel did a great job at his funeral. No matter what, when they play Taps you cannot have a dry eye.
Rob and I went on the boat and it was absolutely beautiful. Caught a couple of fish in an undisclosed location as we have been searching for new spots. Lucy did great on the boat and we were able to take her on a mud flat that was dried up for a restroom break.
Rob will turn 56 on Monday - Happy Birthday Rob!

Nice Weekend

Rob, Lindsey, Lucy and I went to Otter Island on Saturday. This was Lucy's first trip to a beach. She liked it but, she is such a 'priss' about getting wet. She did venture in when Rob got in the boat to get a drink, but only up to her elbows. Lindsey and I laid out and did get some sun. Stress free day - thank you Rob.

Neighborhood Kennel

I think Rob and I have become the neighborhood hang out for animals. In the past couple of weeks this very ugly cat showed up. Well, when she first appeared she was as big as a raccoon. When she showed up again, she lost half her body weight. Of course Rob felt bad and fed her. THAT WAS ALL IT TOOK! Now she has found a place to live, I do believe, but I am trying to decide whether to take her/him (?) to the animal shelter or not (we all know what will happen to her/him there). I named her Uggli, pronounced yougli because as you can tell, the name is appropriate. When BoBo next door gets loose he comes straight here. And, Maggie the very hyper Jack Russell next door does the same. Some days we have three dogs and a cat. The dogs run and play, but what is going to happen when Boomer comes home for the summer?
Help me!

UPDATE

I started this blog, but found I don't keep up with it. I guess I am now busy with the dog and everyone's dog since it is spring break. GOODBYE BOOMER! Andrew came through and dropped off Boomer and headed to Key West. %$#~! I wanted to go so bad. But, the up side of it all is my friend Debbie came down for the weekend and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. Good drinks, good oysters - what more can be said. EXCEPT our friend Lisa could not join us. Lisa - we are planning another one around YOU! Now, Kelsey is home and heading to Orlando to Universal Studios and a condo for 4 days for her spring break trip. When is it going to be my turn?
Very soon I hope.
