9 months old

Our baby is 9 months! He is so fun. We just love him. Haley asked me if he's all smiley and laugh and I said "no". He CAN smile and laugh but is generally a pretty sober guy. A joke is only funny the first time to him (i.e. if you tickle him once and he laughs and you try to tickle him again to get more laughs, he usually doesn't). He can scootch on his belly like a pro but doesn't like to bend in half to be able to really crawl. His dream is to be able to walk. When we hold him up to walk between our legs he gets this look in his eye (remembering that he doesn't smile a lot) that says he is so proud to be walking like the big kids. He really likes fruits and baby yogurt but we're still working on those veggies (he takes after his mom). This morning I was trying to show him how to crawl on all fours and he thought it was pretty amusing (even a few rare giggles) that Mom down at his level. His favorite toy is anything he can pull out of a box, but only for the two seconds it takes to pull something else out. He sleeps so well I can't complain and the truth is
sometimes I go in to check on him in the morning and he's just looking at the ceiling and I have to wonder how long he's been awake. We took him swimming at Green Canyon (we are terrible- we didn't take any pictures of him) and he LOVED it. He loves water and swimming and baths.

(Watching a movie. He surprisingly liked this chair. Ignore the pink princesses)

(one of his super cute shy-smiles)
Sorry all the pictures are just of random daily life things, but seeing as it's still February and we're all busy, we don't have a whole lot of exciting things to take pictures of.
P.S. nine month stats from the doc today:
19 lbs fat- 25%
28.3 in tall- 51% (I don't think she measured very accurately-this is a little long)
17.8 in head- 44%
P.P.S. He is a happy boy, but his eyes smile more than his mouth

Update

Really and truthfully our lives aren't too exciting right now. Troy is in school and working at Ace. I babysit all day, clean, do laundry, and take care of my boys. Rockwell is busy growing and learning. He wants to crawl so bad but just can't quite figure it out. I'm happy with him just the way he is, but I think he'll be much happier when he's mobile. Here's just some fun pictures of our boy.

SoOO Crafty!

I was bit (bitten?) by the crafty bug this week and just HAD to get these things done all of a sudden. I covered this lamp for Rockwell's room. I bought the fabric for this table runner after V-day last year and got it put together this week (I still need to quilt it and finish the edges)

For a girl's night this week Nita, Michelle, Nancy and I put these cute decorations together. I found the tutorial at jessicapeck.blogspot.com.

P.S. Sorry the pictures are so bad. Both of our cameras (which we've had for 5 years and 4 years respectively) are about at the end of their lives, so these are from my ipod while we save up for this baby. The Olympus Stylus Tough-8010! It's waterproof up to 33 feet, shockproof, freeze proof, crushproof and hopefully takes really good pictures. So ya, it will be a while until we have good pics again
