White Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas here at the Trumbo house. It was white and pretty outside and warm and fuzzy inside. It was just us three amigos in person but our whole family in spirit as we opened gifts sent from everyone.

Trenton made out quite well considering all of our family and Santa of course. His face was priceless when he saw everything. He put his hands on his chest and said "All for me?!"
I spent a good part of the day sorting out all his old toys. Pretty ridiculous when you see it in one big heap (what you are packing away/giving away) I can't wait to sell all of this stuff one day, I might retire early. Baby 2 has it made.
BTW...speaking of baby 2. I am 15 weeks today! This pregnancy is different from Trenton's. I FEEL pregnant (or maybe I'm milking it because it is likely my last). I have a small bump (Matt says I'm imagining things) I'm not imagining that my skinny jeans don't fit and I feel like a blob. I found some really long Rock and Republic jeans (maternity) with an adjustable waist (yes, like toddler pants). Lets just say it was a really good day...thank you Santa.
I am still tired (2nd trimester), I am hungry all the stinking time (so I eat all the stinking time). I don't remember this SO much with Trenton. But....I still LOVE being pregnant and can't wait until its a "real bump".
Here are some pics from yesterday:

He loved the snow.
The goods.
GI Joe
You KNOW that was not from us. But THANKS! :)

This is about excited as Trenton gets for the camera. (His father's child for sure) I kept telling Trenton it was Jesus' birthday and he said "no it's not!....it's daddy's!"

Chirstmas Eve

Tonight we went to GiGi and Poppy's house for Christmas Eve dinner and presents. Trenton had a blast and stayed hyper for a while after we got home. Don't ask me how he fell asleep, he must have CRASHED.
Matt and I had fun setting everything up under the tree. It's sleeting/snowing right now so we're supposed to wake up to a white Christmas. We'll see.....
These pics are totally out of order...

Matt putting together Handy Manny workbench. He is gonna freak!

Daddy and Trenton reading Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Running around like a wild man!

Riding his new scooter from GiGi and Poppy.

Matt's lil sis, Alexis, is quite the singer. She got an early Christmas present tonight......an amp and a microphone. She does great in front of people. She sang this year at the fair and was awesome!!

He knew how to ride the scooter without us telling him. He sees the "big boys" in our neighborhood.

Digging in!

"What's in here?" (scooter)

He was just elated about his first present....a candy cane from Lexi.

Waiting to open presents...he knew that big one was for him.

Eyeballing all the food.

Lexi

Sydney supervising. She made the most awesome red velvet cake, yummy.

Matt and Uncle Jerry

"Caught ya!" Trenton loves to jump on GiGi's bed.

Ready for Christmas

After my last min. shopping this afternoon, I am officially ready for Christmas. Trenton has been ready for a while....he asks every morning if Santa came. It's hard for him to understand "time concepts." We are ready for a long break and fun times with family. I will post pics of our get togethers as they happen. Here are some pics of my decorations... I wish we never had to take it down!

Living Room Christmas tree. I wish you could read the pillows on the chairs. They say "Naughy" and "Nice".

Trenton's sport tree in his room.

Entry table. Proudly displaying Trenton's rulodph pic he made today at school.

Kitchen table.
**Thanks to my friend, Emily, for lending me her old camera until a I get a new one. I'm sooooo greatful!

Our mini Chirstmas vacation

Let me get the bad news out of the way, my camera broke on our "mini trip" so no pics. Trenton's sippy of juice spilled in the bag into my camera (didn't have the case on it :( ) Looks like Santa is going to have to fill a last min. order (or I'll go buy myself one)

We left Thurs. morn for good ole Branson. Just a short trip for us (1.5 hr). We wanted to get one more use out of our season passes to Silver Dollar City. Thurs. we went to Tanger Outlet, which looked desserted by the way....wierd. Ate at Landry's for lunch (my fav--get the cobb salad). Went to SDC that evening. It was freezing and crowded, kind of a bust for us. Trenton did a few of his favorite rides, then we decided to head back to The Landing for dinner. The lights were pretty though. Kind of hard to enjoy them when you are 1.freezing 2. walking steep hills with a stroller 3. dodging rednecks..I mean civilians. 4. worried about how cold Trenton's hands and ears were and he refused to cover them up 5. starving (always :))
We stayed down at The Landing-Promonade which is really fun. Fri we walked around down there and layed low-long naps and laziness. The best was Fri. night. We went to The Dixie Stampede. This was SO FUN!! HIGHLY recomm. this to anyone with kids. If they are under 3 they can sit on your lap. They give each person enough food to feed a small family. Trenton loved all the animals and action. It was the Christmas show. Lots of toy characters and exciting action all the time. He was clapping and yelling "yea!" to the music. Hilarious!! Really wish I had my camera there.
Came home this am. We are pooped and can't wait to go back to the Dixie Stampede next year.
We asked Trenton what he wants to name the baby and he thought for a second and said "Fred" HA!! I bet Fred could be friends with "Billy", Emily. My friend's son, Jack, said he wants his mama to have a baby and name him "Billy" HA

Sitting on Santa...and more news!

No pics this time. Sorry. Just a funny story...

Went to see Santa Thurs. evening at the mall. Before we left the house, Trenton put his paci "PAC" in a baggie and wanted to bring it to Santa so he could give it to a baby this Christmas... I know what you are thinking, it can't really be that easy, can it? We'll get to that answer in a few..
Trenton runs through the mall, pac in hand ready to give it to Santa. I am so excited I am almost running too. We are 3rd in line, Trenton is getting a little nervous now that he sees Santa up close. When it is his turn, he walks up to Santa, gives him the paci, says "for the babies now" and says "blue car" and walks away. This kid doesn't have time for chit chat. We coaxed him back and he did end up sitting a smiling for a nice picture.

I would love to tell you that IT WAS in fact that easy giving up the paci. That night, at bedtime, Trenton gets his "blank" and says "Where's my pac?" I remind him that Santa has it now and he matter of factly replies "oh yeah". Still going smoothly.....

I listen to the monitor 2HOURS after he went to bed and he is just a talking and having a good ole time. I go in and he wants his pac.
I reply, "Santa has it, and he went home."
Trenton: "Well get a new one"
Me: " I don't have a new one" (honestly)
Trenton: "Go to the store" (weeping)
I feel so bad at this point that I decide to go digging for ANY OLD paci. I found and old nuk paci from when he was an infant (he never liked/used) in a baggie by the old bottles. He happily took it and is more excited than ever to have a "new paci". So not only are we back to square one but maybe even worse.!!!! HA

My other news.......I'm pregnant! 12 weeks today in fact. 1/3 of the way there! Heart rate was 170 yesterday, which is exactly what Trenton's was at that appt. Hmmmmm....we're thinking boy. It's a Trumbo, of course it's a boy!
We are really excited about 2010! I'm due June 26th. The countdown is on!

Another cute one!

Ok, make sure and read the post below to see the rest of these cute shirts. This is actually the last one we just added. We just can't stop....the possibilities are endless!!

Rena's Sweat Shop

HA! Rena is what Trenton and the other grandkids call my mom. Today is her birthday and Trenton and I are down for the weekend. I'm so mean I've had her making stuff for ME (really Trenton). Everytime the phone rings, we answer "Rena's sweatshop!" Here are some of the applique shirts she made today.

The pictures don't do them justice. And.....they really are so fun to make (I really did help). If you want to order one, just leave a comment on this post with your email and we'll get back to you. For a long sleeve toddler shirt its $16.50 (that includes your shipping). We have all kinds of ideas up our sleeves!! No pun intended....hehe.

Cute Christmas Idea

My mom is making really cute kitchen towels and aprons for Christmas. She has done many different varieties, including Christmas fabrics. I am using the towels as hostess gifts (you can get an inital or last name monogramed on them yourself). Its a great "little something" to bring to a Christmas party instead of just a bottle of wine (boring). The apron/towel sets are really cute for grandma and mother in law presents.
She can do any fabric/color scheme to match someone's taste or kitchen colors! She's always open to new suggestions too! Just click on the link under "My mom's new venture" --SewSassyChic-- (top right corner of my blog page)

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are having a great day here at the Trumbo house. Lots to be thankful for. Our belly's are full and we're about to enter "vege mode". We thought it was going to be just the 3 of us--but right as everything was coming out of the oven, we thought "we need to get some more people over here!" Judy (Grams) and Uncle Jerry joined us and we were so glad!
Last night, we went to the square to see "Lights of the Ozarks" and eat at DamnGoodPies. The lights were awesome as always and the name of the pizza place says it all.

Trying to work up the courage to ride the camel. He told me "mama, YOU ride it and I'll watch!" That didn't happen.

Damngood cheese.

That's enough pictures already!!

I'm BAAAACK!

I am back in the country (again) and finally back blogging! I have been reading everyone else's....just not posting. It's been busy around the Trumbo house lately. I was so excited to come home to my hubby and baby Sun. night after being away 5 days. My lil sis, Rach, got married in Cancun on Fri. It was great getting a tan but whoa I was ready to come home. Trenton was so excited to see me and I was to see him. I'm going to interpret him shooting me all night with a machine gun a term of endearment, he is two you know.
Rachel and Mike's wedding was BEAUTIFUL!!! I don't regret having my traditional wedding but being there for her's got me pretty close. Ok, if I did it all over, I would totally do a beach wedding! I would do everything the same, including having all my bridesmaids dance down the aisle to Fergie, popping champange the second we were down the aisle, and having the violin play "you shook me all night long" while we had the ceremony. Sounds a little crazy, but it really was classy (or as classy as we get).
I am in full Thanksgiving mode now (with Christmas decorations for a nice view). I will try to post pics soon. I still haven't unpacked so don't get your hopes up.
I love America.

Football Weekend

What a beautiful weekend! Michelle, Chris, and the kiddos came and we went to the Razorback game. Kiddos stayed home of course. Reagan and Trenton just go nuts the whole weekend playing. They WEAR each other out. Tyler is starting to try to keep up some. They pretend he is a monster or bear and run away. He doesn't know what's going on yet. Michelle and I shopped our heads off and bought everything to decorate her tree, can't wait to put it all up. It's going to be awesome!!

GO HOGS!!

Trick or Treating

Here are some pics of last night. A little out of order. Trick or Treating was not as big of a hit as I thought it would be. Handing out candy was a whole new story though!! He squealed everytime the door bell rang and he handed out every piece himself. He was giving out handfuls and sometimes chasing them down the sidewalk to give more.

This is Trenton towards the end of the night passing out candy. He's in his jammies.

Waiting eagerly for the next trick or treater.....

Trenton with GG and Aunt Lexi the nerd.

Family pic.....yes I am a dark brunette as of last Thurs. No I did not do it for Halloween. This is a frequently asked question...

Their faces crack me up! Trenton got a billy bob sucker from GG. When he puts the sucker in his mouth, the front of it has big hillbilly teeth on it.

Trenton at the beginning of the night. After the first house, Trenton walked down the driveway and said "I go home now." What a little homebody!! We did not go home.

Daddy and Trenton moving on to more houses.

Taking his sweet time. I thought he would be running from house to house for more candy. He stopped to pick weeds, pick up rocks, you name it, he had TTADD (trick or treat ADD). I didn't realize he brought his handy manny hammer and he sat down in someone's front yard and got out his hammer to "fix his bucket". He started banging away on it right there! Hilarious!

Trenton showing off the pumpkin he made. By the way....the best part of this costume was the fact that the hat was too small and so cheap looking. Aunt Michelle bought him a better one but it just wasn't as funny!!

It's Halloween!!......almost

This morning I went to get Trenton out of bed and I told him "Guess what? It's Halloween!!" and he pointed to me and said "Almost!" I've been telling HIM that for a while now so now he's telling me. Trenton has gotten all kinds of treats via mail from his BeBe in Texarkana and Aunt Jo, Aunt Wendy, and Uncle Bill in Destin. I have been brushing his teeth 4 times a day. It's a good thing fillings are free for us! HA

I carved a monster pumpkin for Trenton, he was way pumped...he LOVES monsters. He told his BeBe on the phone that he was going to be a monster for Halloween (which he is not by the way).

Eating some of the goods from the Florida folks. I liked the saftey light the best. Definatley going to use that tonight.

I see you!! The mask is too small he said.

Cleaning out the pumpkin. He wasn't as big of a fan of the pumpkin guts as I thought. He said "EWWWWW, germs!"

Costume, check. Saftey light, check. Awesome candy carrier (thanks to aunt Jo), check check!!
