Trumbo Family

 I'm grumpy about how this post ended up..not the pics I wanted and one is stinkin sideways...UGH!  Anywho....happy face now.  Matt surprised me on our anniversary last Wed. after work.  His mom and Nana came to town to watch our kiddos so we could have a big night out in.......Rogers!!  That may not sound exciting but let me tell you it was.  A night in ANY hotel is a vacation for me.  He brought home a convertible Jaguar for us to ride in.  It felt like such a lie..pulling away from our garage with our minivan in it.  I felt like I needed to explain to people at stoplights that this was NOT our car and we have two small children and minivan!  Ok, maybe it was a little fun. :)
 We checked in our hotel Aloft.  Super swanky.  We walked in and it was a stinkin party in there.  DJ and all.  At first I thought the after work Rogers crowd really knew how to get it on but soon found out that it was the hotels 3rd anniversary/birthday. 
 Then we headed to Ruth's Chris for dinner.  Super good as always.  My hair did not fair well with the top down on the car on the interstate.

 Trevor 1 week later on his acutal birthday.  Pretty low key day.  Matt out of town all that week.  Trev was not all smiles this day.  He came down with a virus which included HIGH fever and extreme CLINGINESS.  I would be clinging to my mama if I felt that way too I guess.  Went to Dr. 2 times because I was sure he had and infection somewhere but found nothing.  Took 1 week to get back to "normal".  I 'm so happy to have my old Trev back---I was starting to worry that he was gone forever! :)
I completely staged this pose.  He still does not pull up on his own (he does to his knees but that's it).  He can stand unassisted for a little bit but I don't leave him but just for a few seconds.  I say that he is laid back but I think the kid is just plain lazy!  Such a different child than Trenton-who was walking, I mean running by himself and 10 1/2 months.  I must say Trev is a much easier child. 
Trevor threw his first fit 2 days ago.  He was trying to open the lid on a toy and couldn't get it.  He let out a loud squeel and clenched his fists and kicked his legs.  Here we go.....:)

 Our little fish turned ONE yesterday!  He celebrated by getting a cold....I know, seriously who gets a cold in June-my kid, that's who.  He moved up to a new room at daycare last week so I'm blaming it on that I guess.  Good thing he was happy and well at his bday party last weekend. 
 So these pics are a little out of order but you know the whole cake routine.  He loved making a mess, only took a few bites though.

 This is the last batch of beach pictures. Matt's mom (Trev and Trent's BB) was down there at the same time-her 2 sisters, and son and daughter (Matt's bro and sis) live down there...yes I said LIVE, no fair!

 This ride made me sick to even watch.  Gunshy Tyler actually wanted his own cart...lets just say the ride got stopped and Tyler didn't ride another ride the rest of the evening.

Cutie Trev....in desperate need of his first haircut.  I was so excited to find the shark shirt while we were down there.  They matched his shark shoes he already had!   Those are the kinds of things that make my day...I know I know.
