Imaginations hard at work

Connor drew this picture of a robot today.  He went outside to find the materials he needed to make it.  I looked out the window a few minutes later and I saw him making the robot.

Connor and Charlotte worked together on it.

The finished product.  I think it looks pretty close to the drawing.

Love this one

I love this one from today because she looks so happy.

Oh poop!

While changing Claire's diaper today I noticed some blood in it.  I immediately called the doctor's office and got her checked out.  The doctor tested the poop and determined it was in fact blood.  So now I'm supposed to collect samples for the lab and avoid milk and ice cream for the next couple of weeks.  This very thing happened with Connor (his turned out to be an immature colon) so I'm not too worried.  Claire hasn't had any other symptoms so I'm really hoping it clears up on its own.

Yummy fingers

Claire always has her fingers in her mouth, well, that and anything else she can get in it!  The other two never did that.  I think it's so cute, but I wonder if she's teething.  I hope not!

Charlotte tries jiu jitsu

I like this photo because you can see both Charlotte and Connor

Charlotte decided she wanted to try jiu jitsu, so on Wednesday she got her chance.  She did great and seemed like she was having fun but when the class was over she decided it wasn't for her.

Claire keeping herself entertained during class.  Those hands can be very interesting ;)

Connor's first spar.  He was SO excited to get the chance to spar.  After he sparred with this girl he sparred with an advanced boy.  He pretty much got his butt handed to him but it was a good experience for him.

First night in her crib

Tonight is Claire's first night in her crib.  Up until now she's been sleeping in the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper next to my bed.  I love, love, love having her right next to me at night but I know it's time for her to sleep in her own room.  She went to sleep fine in her crib so I'm hoping the rest of the night will go smoothly.

So sweet

The other day Claire was lying on her playmat cooing and I over heard Connor say, "her voice is so beautiful".  I thought that was just the sweetest thing.

So big!

Claire weighed in at 13 pounds 6 ounces and 251/4 inches long at her well-baby visit today.  She moved up to the 50th percentile from 25th for weight and 90th percentile up from 25th for length.

Four more vaccines today.  Ouch!  I haven't figured out if it's more painful for the baby or for the mom during the shots.

A little overwhelmed

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed these days.  And no, not because of my sweet little three month old.  My kids activities are becoming a bit much.  Six days a week one of them has a class.  Monday and Wednesday Connor has jiu jitsu, Thursday they both have ice skating, Friday and Saturday Connor has basketball and Sunday they both have swimming.  Luckily ice skating ends today, but her coach has asked her to continue and asked for her to be in a program coming up in March.  I'm not sure what we're going to do.  She is doing really great in ice skating but six classes a week becoming too much.  I'm hoping to find her another class, doing something else during the day.  Most of their classes are in the evening which is difficult because of dinner and Claire's bedtime.  I love that they get the chance to learn and try so many different things but at what cost for me?  I feel like I'm around only to drive them from class to class.  Oh wait, isn't that what parents are for?

My little helper

Charlotte always wants to help.  She was so happy she got to help me paint the family room a couple of days ago.  At one point we had three generations painting; Charlotte, me and my mom.

So cute in blue

Jiu jitsu

Connor started a jiu jistu class today.  He really enjoyed it.  He did great and caught on really quickly.  He's really looking forward to the next class next Monday.

Trying so hard

For the last couple of weeks or so Claire has been trying to roll from her back to her stomach.  She can get her upper half of her body over but can't seem to get her hips over yet.  If I give her a little nudge she can do it so I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

One more look alike

Charlotte two months

Claire almost two months

I think they look more alike here then the previous post.

Love all things giraffe...

especially on the baby!

These cute jammies came from her Auntie Cousin Amanda.  Thanks Amanda!

"Bundle me" no more

We've been using this "bundle me" blanket in Claire's carseat for the last couple of months.  It's been great because it keeps her warm.  I always thought of it as one of the best purchases we've made for her.  That is until now.  I recently took it out of her carseat because it seemed her belt wasn't fitting her just right.  And the result?  She actually doesn't cry when we put her in her carseat!  Finally!!  She's been hating her carseat for a while now and it seems it was because of the way the blanket made her belt sit on her shoulder.  I guess she must have just been uncomfortable.  I feel bad she wasn't comfortable all this time but I'm glad the problem has been remedied.

My ice skaters

I'm amazed at how much they've improved in just five classes.  Charlotte was out skating before class and she was doing turns and little jumps.

My buggy

Since Claire was born I've been calling her Claire-bug or Buggy.  I bought this outfit before she was born not knowing what her nickname was going to be.  I put the outfit on her today for the first time and thought it was perfect for her.

Exersaucer

I love how everyday Claire is growing, both physically and cognitively.  Today she tried out her exersaucer for the first time and really seemed to enjoy it.

Gingerbread shootout

Connor made this gingerbread house at school before the winter break.  He's been waiting to shoot it up with his air-soft gun.  Today he finally got that chance.

Giraffe beanie

We bought Claire this giraffe beanie today from Gymboree.  She looks so darn cute in it!

Messy marvin

Charlotte is the messiest, most disorganized little girl I know.  Her teacher has even commented on it!  We try to teach her to put her things away but she seems resistant to learning any type of organizational skills!

This picture is from today when she got home from school. She does this everyday no matter how many times I ask her not to before she even starts to take things out.

*I have to add, after I posted this she made an even bigger mess but cleaned it all up without me asking.  Maybe she is learning a little something after all!

Swimming lessons

Connor and Charlotte started swimming lessons today. Connor already knows how to swim, he just needs to refine his skills. Charlotte is comfortable in the water but doesn't know how to swim yet. The smile on Charlotte's face when she got in the water was huge! She was so happy to be in the pool. I love seeing those genuine, happy smiles on their faces.

I just love how happy they all look

On their way to Olympic gold

A big congrats to Connor and Charlotte for moving up to level 2 in ice skating yesterday! YAY!

Playtime with dad

Anthony is the best dad ever! Anthony has been sick the last few days with some sort of intestinal bug but he found the energy to play with all three kids today. Chess with Connor, Old Maid with Charlotte and tummy time with Claire.

Big brother

Connor is a GREAT big brother! He is so sweet with Claire. And Claire thinks he's the best, she smiles the biggest smiles when he talks to her.

Love this one

First pair of overalls

I got these overalls for Claire a while back and thought they were 3-6 month size. Luckily I pulled them out of her closet today because they're 0-3 month size. Fortunately she's still wearing 0-3 month clothing, but I'm sure she'll grow out of them in no time!
