Eleven Months
Claire turned eleven months old today. I'm in disbelief that she is in her last month of infancy. I'm really excited for what the future holds for her but I really wish it would just slow down a little.
At eleven months Claire Avery:
*cruises really well
*prefers to stand when playing
*loves all food she's tried except cottage cheese (I really can't blame her!)
*seems like she's getting ready to try to walk but just can't seem to figure it out completely
*steps from one thing to another, like from her walker to the couch if they're close together, or from a table to the window sill
*can stand for at least 30 seconds or so before losing her balance
*"talks" a lot, still no real words yet though
*says, "mum, mum, mum" for food
*still only has two teeth, a third on the top looks like it's going to poke through any day now
*the funniest little personality is coming out more each day, she loves to make us laugh
*imitates us
*weighs 18 lbs 1 oz
*wears 6-12 mo clothing, size 3 diapers
Won't sit still to get her picture taken!
Crying because I wouldn't let her play in the dirt, she likes to show her frustration with mommy

Cannon Beach
We took the kids to Cannon Beach for a couple of days. They have been asking to go camping for a while now but I really had no desire to camp in a tent so I found the next best thing, a cabin. The cabin worked out great; it had a bathroom, shower, sink, electricity and beds, plus there was an outdoor area with a picnic table and fire pit. We went to the beach and the kids and Anthony played in the water and looked for crabs while the baby and I played in the sand. We walked around the main street and spent way too much money on some, okay, a lot of candy!

Claire thought this was the funniest thing EVER. She entertained herself for ten minutes with this kitchen towel. She'd laugh everytime she got it over her head, then she'd attempt to crawl with it up there.

Lincoln City
Yesterday we spent the day on the coast at Lincoln City. I was a little worried it was going to be really busy and that we wouldn't find any parking. When we got there we found the perfect parking spot, right on the beach! It was so great being able to park on the beach, we didn't have to lug all of our stuff plus three kids all the way to the sand, we were already there! It wasn't busy at all either. It turned out to be the perfect day.
This was Claire's first time at the beach. She absolutely loved it! As soon as I took her out of the car she started screaching with joy. It was the best watching her play and play and play in the sand. She kept putting the sandy toys in her mouth, yuck!

Cheer camp
Charlotte took a cheer camp this week (thanks Nikki for telling us about it!). She had such a great time. Today they did a performance for the parents. It was so cute watching her cheer and dance! Connor was my photographer because I was busy video taping, he took 158 pictures!

Sorry for the quality of the photo, got to love those phone cameras! We walked by the play center at the mall yesterday and Claire went crazy! She was flailing her arms and making monkey noises (this is her way of showing excitement). So I took her over and put her on a couple of the play structures. She was so happy!

Oneonta Falls
Picture of the day
Today we went hiking at Oneonta Falls. It was so beautiful and the weather couldn't have been nicer. I'm still amazed that we live only twenty minutes from places like this.

We crossed this bridge while on the hike. The bridge was actually quite steady although it made me slightly nervous having the kids on it.
