I love the way toddlers speak. I don't ever want to forget the way Claire pronounces some of her words. I just love it.
Granola bars = Gorilla bars or sometimes she calls them monkey bars
Sprinklers = Sprinkles
Hand sanitizer = Hanitizer
Bridge = Fridge, she sings the Dora song, "I'm the grumpy old troll who lives under the fridge".

My girls
Before I had kids I never understood why a parent would dress their kids the same. Now I find myself doing it. Someone stop me.

School's out!
Another school year has come to an end. Where did the year go? I remember someone telling me once the kids start school time goes even faster. They were right! We officially have a 3rd grader and 5th grader in our house, not to mention an almost preschooler too! This coming year is Connor's final year in elementary school. That's a little hard for me to accept but I'm excited for him and what the next school year has in store. But for now we will enjoy their two and a half months off.
Charlotte and her teacher
Connor and his teacher
I took this one on Monday of this week. I was afraid I wouldn't have time to take one on their last day.
Charlotte's third celebration
We had Charlotte's third and last birthday celebration last weekend at my mom's house. We also celebrated Amanda's 21st birthday as well (their birthdays are a week apart).

Cake pops
Charlotte got a cake pop maker for her birthday. These were her first attemps at making cake pops. They were really yummy!
Sports day
A couple of days ago the kids had 'sports day' at school. Since we are not big sports fans they didn't have much to choose from to wear so they wore Connor's basketball shirts and shorts.

Charlotte's two day birthday celebration
In our family a birthday is usually not just one day, it's typically celebrated over several days. So far we have celebrated Charlotte's day two days and there's another celebration coming up this weekend.
The celebrating so far...
Charlotte's party with her friends. We took everyone to the movie then back to our house for cake and presents.

The day of Charlotte's birthday.
We started the day at the nail salon with mani/pedi's
When we got home Anthony brought home one of Charlotte's presents, a papasan chair for her room
Then we were off to Charlotte's favorite restaurant, The Spaghetti Factory
After lunch we went to the Children's Museum
I made Charlotte a clay note in the 'clay room'
After the museum we walked around the area next to the museum where...
we were silly...
told secrets...
and had piggy back rides
