Just incase you forgot...

This is what we look like....

Seriously, these first 3 pictures were from almost 2 months ago. Sad. I loved the succession of them, though.

A little modeling...

And Disney on Ice--oh she just loved it! Cinderella is a fav in our house right now. Granted she has a goofy face, but some random person offered to take a picture of all of us, so she chose not to cooperate. Imagine that? ;)
Someday I hope to get back into a consistent blogging mode. If the blogs I thought in my head could just make it onto the computer--man, that would be awesome! There are so many hilarious things Abby says and does right now!! I'll be making a list all about them....soon! :)

We Are BULLDOGS!

When Mommy is away...the kids will play!

Josh has taught Abby some of our cheers that we do at our Louisiana Tech football games. One of them is: We are (and the opposite side of the stadium yells..) BULLDOGS! So over and over in this video, that's what you're hearing Abby say. This video cracks.me.up!!! Abby gets into it like nothing I've ever seen before. As soon as I got home from a meeting, Josh had to show me this immediately. He says it's the best video she's ever done. haha...because he took it, of course :) It's pretty silly...just watch. You'll see what I mean!

I'm gonna do it...

Blog completely out of order. It's gonna bother me, but I just have to post the pics I got from Halloween tonight.

This Halloween was amazing! Last year we trick-or-treated to about 5 houses. She was walking, but she still preferred to be carried. She definitely was far too shy to go up to the people's houses, and we ended up carrying her. This year, however, we went to about 25 houses. She LOVED it, she actually said trick-or-treat at each and every house, and she said thank you once they put the candy in her bag.

One funny story: We walked up to this house that had some creepy music playing. We rang the doorbell, and the guy opened the door with his face fully painted like a Dracula type thing...long scary hand gloves or something on, black cape...oh man, if I could've had this moment on film. Abby jumped back about 10 ft, then I kneeled down beside her saying, "It's ok, he's just dressed up!" So she barely leaned in (still half hiding behind me), sticking her bag out and whispering, "Trick-or-Treat." I was so proud of her! She followed through, and didn't burst into tears, run away, or make me pick her up!

2007...our sweet strawberry! I'm not gonna lie--I want to EAT.HER.UP!!! I can NOT believe these sweet pictures were a couple years ago. Sad.

2008...our queen bee :)
And this year, she was our sweet fairy!

These are normal father/daughter poses, right? :) (I married a big kid. Whatcha gonna do? My very own gladiator.)
Pointing at the teeny-tiny bug on the ground, of course.
Ok, seriously, this might be my favorite picture from the entire night! Look at her face! And what's better--a cop car happens to be driving by in the background right as I snap this picture. A sweet fairy + a sword = odd? :)
She really loved the sword! Lately, she's been into running, but she has to back up to whatever she considers to be the "right spot" then she says, "1, 2, 3. Ready, Set, Go!" And so here it began....running pictures--and she's saying "I run fast!"

A little lovin' for the mama before we start trick-or-treating.
We took a wagon, which worked out perfect. She only wanted to walk at first. Then as we got near the end, she got tired. This one little girl was on a driveway, and she's like "Hey! We have candy!" But that didn't entice, Abby. Abby turned to me and said, "I'm tired." Sweet girl.
Live action trick-or-treating shot! Don't you love Josh's sword on her back?

We had such a fun time! We hope everyone else did, too!

Um, yeah.

Can I just say, I really feel loved! I have had people check on me or at least wonder if everything is ok simply because I haven't blogged in a month! Thanks, friends!

Where has the time gone? It doesn't feel like a month since I last blogged. I've never let it go this long. Let me tell you all the things I'd like to blog about:

1. Abby
2. My scrapbook weekend/Callie's 1st birthday
3. My Vegas Trip
4. Tech Homecoming

I'll start with 1 & 2 (I had to word it that way because Abby is addicted to counting right now. Everything is 1 & 2. She can count to 10, but if she's asking for pretzels or raisins or anything food related, she says "Mommy, can I have 1 & 2 of {fill in the blank}) I'll just do the first 2 because I wouldn't want to overwhelm you with too many pictures in my first blog post in a month! :)

Things about Abby that I just love, love, love:
1. She loves hugging my leg
2. She says Thank you, Mommy in the sweetest voice
3. She always, always ends the sentence with the persons name she's talking to.
4. She loves to give big hugs, and she will say "Big Hug?" with her arms spread wide.
5. She loves to hold your face and kiss you on the nose.
6. She is absolutely addicted to the songs Louisiana Saturday Night and Chicken Fried.
7. When she's dancing in the car, she's moving her shoulders up and down and toe tappin'. So adorable!
8. When we both have jeans on or leggings on, she says "I'm like mommy!"
9. She is obsessed with having her vitamin in the morning and is so so excited when I give it to her.
10. The teacher's tell me they are so impressed with how well she knows all the kids' names in her class. She is the one keeping tabs on everyone. This does not surprise me a bit because she is a busy, nosey little thing :)
11. She loves to say our prayer before we eat.
12. She loves to color.
13. Lately we've been hearing her say a lot "Abby's a big girl." haha. Honestly, I'm not sure where this came from, but she pats her chest and says it. It's pretty funny.
14. She doesn't forget anything!
15. She asks for ranch and pretty much every meal now.
16. Her smile and crinkled nose still get me everytime! Love that sweet face!

The list could go on...basically, she is definitely keeping us entertained!!

Here's a few random Mommy and Abby shots. Y'know, my normal arm out pose. But her expressions or how her eyes are closed are just too funny not too share :)

She will keep her eyes open someday....right???

Love the holding of my face!

Nope, her eyes will forever be closed! :)
These are the outlets in the back of the house by the back door. She pretends she's ringing the doorbell and she says "Ding dong" when she pushes them.

Check out that scowl on her face! Cracks.me.up!!!!
Ok, I lied. I'm tired now. I'll hopefully get more posted tomorrow!

Blue-eyed Girls

These are the only 2 good pictures I got because she was too concerned with looking around making sure a small little lovebug wasn't flying towards her.

I have not posted a video in FOR-EV-ER! I'm trying to organize pictures right now because I'm going on a scrapping weekend in a few weeks. Looking back at my old posts, I was so much better with video. I know a lot of my friends that don't live here haven't actually gotten to hear Abby's voice or how she says things. When she comes home from school she is usually just talking up a storm about all kinds of things that she's done...I decided this was my perfect opportunity! Granted there wasn't much school talk going on here, but she still had plenty to say :)

I'm SO pleased!

This school thing has been fantastic! The first day, sure, Abby looked a little unsure of things. But it was the first day. Every time that's followed, she's ready! Her teachers are really wonderful, and she's come home with the cutest little crafty things. She's really having a great time, and I can tell because she doesn't glance back once to tell me bye. She's in the door and ready to play. Honestly, I LOVE that feeling. The feeling of knowing that she's having a good day, and she's excited about being there.

She wore her hair in a little ponytail today.
I don't know what this pose is about, but in her hand is one of those stickers that comes from a new shirt....y'know with the size down it? She's obsessed with them. Before I got her dressed, so put the sticker down her leg.
I love how she alway sticks her cup under her arm. She carries it like this all the time!
On the way to school, she needed her glasses. When she puts them on she says, "Cool, Mommy."
And I love that she mimics everything I do...like when I walk into a building, and I put my sunglasses up on my head like this.
This was from a few weekends ago, our friend Anna turned 3! She had face painting at her party, and Abby sat oh-so-still to get a butterfly painted on her cheek.
And this was from even longer ago, when I went to the Children's Museum with a few friends. Abby next to never falls asleep in the car anymore. But I must've worn her out. I love the fact that when they're so tired...they fall asleep...then as you make a turn, their head just rolls with the turn. So she went from this position--to this position. Sweet girl :)
