Can Max really be 6 years old?
6 Things...
1. so kind
2. loves reading The Princess Bride with Ty at night (I can't read it with him because I can't do the voices right. Ty sounds exactly like the Sicilian on the movie.)
3. Tessa can still put him in tears...but so can a lot of things I guess...sometimes I worry about that, but it kind of makes me happy that he's not completely grown up
4. has a wicked-good baseball swing, but can't catch a ball to save his life
5. still has a great little imagination...superheros, bad guys, tornados, hurricanes, and bombs are frequently disrupting our house
6. makes the most atrocious messes while playing that you can imagine...I have completely failed in teaching Max (and Tessa) how to clean
7.(to grow on) cello is still kind of a love/hate thing for Max...he's doing great though and is on Etude at the moment

This year for his party we let him take a couple of his friends to Smurf's Movie. Being the awesome parent that I am, I forgot to bring my camera. But the boys looked pretty cute carrying their kid's pack snacks through the theater and sitting together like they were little buddies. And Tyler thought it was really cute when he had to take Max to the restroom twice during the movie. There is a reason we don't buy snacks (specifically soda) from the concession stands. Oh, and his friend gave him a giant flashlight for his birthday. Max was in heaven!
