Detention

Last week when Karsten came home from school he regretted to inform me he had gotten into trouble that day. He had got sent to "elementary detention" So I asked him what he had done and he informed me he got into trouble for cutting crayons because a "guy" ( a little boy he was sitting by) told him to. We then had the talk if your friends jumped off a cliff would you do it too? I'm not quite sure why they sent him down there because the lady they sent him to is so nice I can't imagine it being a punishment. I just never thought it would be one of my kids getting sent there, but I was obviously wrong and didn't think ahead to Karsten being in school. Dylan has been in school for 5 years now and has never so much as forgotten to turn in his homework. So I've come to realize Karsten is more like his dad ( who got into trouble all the time throughout school) and come to the conclusion I will let Tyler deal with this and it's most likely his fault anyways, since Karsten is taking after him!! It's just a good thing he's cute, it might save his life in the future.

Soccer...Soccer...Soccer

We are finally done with soccer season it ended today! It has been fun though, both of my boys' teams have done really well. Dylans team The Blue Dynamite left the season undefeated so I was really excited about that!! Karstens team The Soccer Police only lost one game this year. They both had awesome coaches!! Dylan and Karsten both improved a ton this year I think the more they play the better they are going to be. Soccer is a really hard sport for me to watch because I dont know all the rules and Im one of those parents who is kinda vocal and competitive so I can't be yelling things when I don't know what is going on and look like an idiot. So I have to ask Tyler a lot of questions because he is the soccer player not me. We have been pulling double duty because they are playing football right now also so Im glad soccer is at an end and it might not be so chaotic around my house anymore. We had fun I'm glad I get to see my kids involved in so many things and that they are healthy and are happy to be doing it.

Procrastination

I am the queen of procrastination, I wait until the last possible second to get things done. I teach dance at a studio here in town and I have to have three dances choreographed by Wednesday morning and here I am sitting my computer blogging! I have had the music cut for a week and have done nothing with it. So if any of you dancers out there has any ideas for Alvin and the Chipmunks ( I even have a little boy in my class who could act out Alvin) or Jingle bells for 3 & 4 year olds or kindergartners you let me know. I have my pre-team dance partially made up so that is the good news but that comes a lot easier to me than the little girls they can do more. I hope when I do get around to it I feel inspired and it will be a painless process sometimes it is sometimes it isn't. Well enough putting it off I better get to work...

5 Days

For the last five days I have been a single parent and let me just say I have a newfound respect for single parents its hard work. Tyler left on Sunday to Wisconsin for work meetings. I know I sound spoiled but he has never left for that long before its always just been a couple of days. He is coming home today and I am so excited! (flying home on 9/11 is a little unsettling by the way) My sister has been staying with me since her fiance is out of town also so it hasn't been too lonely it's just not the same as a husband I can't make her do her part like I do Tyler because their not her kids. The saddest part has been listening to Jaxon tell me everyday "Dad come home" "I miss him" His Dad is his best friend so it has been a long week for him too. He does a lot around here and makes life a lot easier so today at 5:30 I will have a husband again yippee!!

Just Shut Up!

I really am such an idiot especially today. So I am at wal-mart my most unfavorite place to be. anyways I am in the checkout line and I look behind me and see someone I know her girls took dance from me last year and she was pregnant. The last time I saw her was the first of may at the spring review. so stupid me I turn around and start talking to her and say so when are you due? She says to me I had the baby last Friday at that point I turned about 5 shades or red and say oh that's exciting. That's all I could say I was so afraid of digging myself any deeper. I should have apologized but I didn't I just turned around and didn't look back again. The stupid thing is she did in no way look 9 months pregnant. What was i thinking? I want to die I am so embarrassed, I usually am not the person to say idiotic things like this but today obviously I am. so I called some of my friends so they could get a good laugh and console me, so now it's your turn. I have learned my lesson to not open my mouth.

We Will Miss It

The Parowan pool closed yesterday for the season and we are sure going to miss it!! Every summer we spend a lot of time there especially this summer where my kids are getting older its a lot easier to go. Jaxon still does not like to swim but maybe next summer that will change. So until next year here are some pictures of where we spent most of our time together
