Cancer...sucks
I just thought I would update everybody on my moms cancer, since you are all still nice and talking to me even though I am now bitter and cynical because of it. First off this is the best picture I have of her right now in my computer because she hates taking pictures and my scanner is not working (or I don't know how to work it) So I can't scan in our last family pic. Anyways she received another round of chemo yesterday and will be feeling pretty crappy for awhile. In two weeks she will go in and get a pet scan and another MRI and we will see how much cancer is left in her body and brain. We already know there is still a few spots in her brain that are not decreasing like they should from the previous radiation so we will have to do another round of radiation, but we are hoping that the cancer in her bones is gone so we can be done with chemo. I truly hope for everybody involved that we are nearing the end of this nightmare especially my parents who this is taking a huge toll on mentally, physically, and financially. Sorry for all of the negativity, it was just a bad day yesterday, maybe I should put a disclaimer at the first of this ( do not read if you are in a good mood, and want to stay that way) I guess the title kind of did that for me. I will try not to put too many more of these downer posts on my blog, hopefully 2 weeks from now it will be good news! Thank you for being good friends to me, and please continue to pray for my family, some days that's all that gets me through. I just look forward to next year and a fresh start, next January can only get better than the last one right? I really do appreciate all of you!! Thank You.

Not Tyler's Idea Of A Fun Friday Night
On Friday I got a crazy hair and decided we needed more strawberry jam. So I called my friend and got her involved and convinced her she needed some too. Then convinced my husband that he needed to help and that it was going to be easy. So Robyn ( my friend) went to wal-mart to get the strawberries and we started about 7:00 pm and then ran into some difficulties Like no way to mash the strawberries and after the first 2 batches we ran out of some of the ingredients. So Tyler ran to the store for some things which is at least 15 minutes from my house. The first store he went to did not have any lemon juice, what kind of store runs out of lemon juice? While he was out Jaxon decided he needed to help and started throwing broken up pop tarts into the mix, his brothers thought it was quite funny, needless to say I had to fish these out. So after Tyler got back we were able to make 2 more batches. He told me to not send him to the store that late again supposedly as he put it that's when the freaks are out! We ended up finishing with 16 pints of jam after it was all said and done with. It wasn't as quick and easy as I remembered it being. But Tyler was a good sport. My friend Robyn didn't get done until 2:30 in the morning, she made 1 1/2 times what I did. I'm sure she was cussing me for getting her involved in the whole mess. I'm glad it's over and done with and now we will have jam for awhile. On Saturday we were able to have a break and go to Vegas for my friends wedding, it was beautiful and we were able to leave the kids home so it was kind of a date. I'm so glad we were able to make it and Congrats to the Happy Couple!!!

This is Jaxon Brace when he is just minutes old. He's cute isn't he? As you can tell he is not very happy. You can't tell in this picture very well but he is a big boy! Weighing in at 9lbs. 4oz 21 inches long and born at 10:30 a.m. on February 18. You can't see his legs in this picture but there are rolls and rolls of chubbiness, and he hasn't slowed down yet. Luckily I had a very good epidural with him and didn't have any labor pains because they gave it to me so early on in labor. Maybe they knew something I didn't. So after getting a nice nap in they told me I had to wake up and have a baby! It was so nice especially considering I had to have Karsten natural. When Jaxon came out everybody was shocked saying thats the biggest baby born here in 2 weeks, quite the accomplishment I know. No wonder I was so big! He is his Dad's best friend and his brothers just adore him. He is a so much fun and a wonderful (final) addition to our family.I Tag anyone of you who are my friends who want to do it!!

Gone Too Long...
On Saturday we had a really fun day! First we went to a ward pine wood derby which was kinda fun and it just reminds me that no matter how old boys will be boys. Then we went to St. George to go to the temple. I am very embarrassed to say but it had been over a year since we had last gone. I really have no excuse for that but that we are busy, but we have got to do better. It felt really good to be there and made me wonder what has been keeping us away? I really have no excuse now because my sister Whitnee lives in St. George now so she can tend my kids and only have them for 2 hours instead of 5. The funny thing is a couple in our ward was saying right before we left for the temple that they go once a month and invited us to go with them, so hopefully that will help our attendance record! After we went to eat at Paula's which I always love, with my kids, Whitnee and Jadeth (whitnee's fiance), Tylers Brother Kyle and his wife Ashley it was tons of fun!! They have the best food there. Then we went to Kyle and Ashleys new house and got to hang out with them. We then drove home to find crazy weather and snow on the ground. Apparently winter has come early this year, I don't know that I am quite ready for it yet, I know my yards not. I haven't even had a chance to go up the mountain and see the fall colors yet. Maybe I missed my chance. I hope not.

Yipppeeee!!!
I just found out the other day that we get to go on a cruise! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. We are going on another all expense paid incentive trip for Martin Door (Tylers garage door supplier) So on Feb 22 we will be off to the southern Caribbean for 7 days in the sun. We get to go with another couple from Tyler's work so I am happy about that, it's always more fun with other people. The count down has begun!!!
